  1. Can you give us a clue??? Is it hollow? Does it have a paddletail?
  2. I saw this in the hard bait section http://lisa.staton.home.insightbb.com/
  3. Your baits looked great! I really like the painted tube idea. Are you making your own eyes?
  4. That looks great! Let us know how it works out for you. What size spout are you using?
  5. Wow.......that's A Great Idea! Hey Honey, Go Watch The Baby For A Minute. I Left Something In The Garage!
  6. All of my sticks are poured without salt. There really isn't much of a fall rate at all, especially if there is any breeze. The bait will just sit on top. I mainly pour without salt because the color is much better. These sticks are rigged Carolina, giggy head, Texas, split shot, etc. They will also stand straight off the bottom. Alot of people fish deeper water with a bullet weight. If you are fishing them with a bullet weight, why would you need a salted bait?
  7. You might just want to start from scratch because you will never be able to duplicate the color if you like it. Make sure you write everything down. Start with a few drops of color. You can always add more. I think you'll have less waste than trying to add any more plastic to that batch. That color from your first batch looks good and should work well with all the rain and cloud cover your having right now. Just my 2 cents
  8. That vilolet highlight powder in that fist batch is a killer color in Florida. Melting your watermellon's and pumpkin's scraps and adding a little green highlight powder is great way to cut down on waste.
  9. Ghostbaits Gone Mobile..... .....coming to a ramp near you!
  10. Watch out with storing baits with scent on it. I've found that it softens the bait a bit and makes them sticky to the touch
  11. It looks great! Did you make the mold for that?
  12. Sam's green will not bleed or fade after multiple reheats. I use both small and medium in my Junebug.
  13. Watermelon/purple flake
  14. I hope nobody thought my comments were directed towards any individual. I was just voice my thoughts. If someone has a good experience with a product, I want to know about it. If somebody has a bad experience with a product or service, I definitely want to know about that. I have a box of various supplies that turned out to be useless. I call it my "Move On" box. I heave it accross the room in the vicinity (I've yet to toss one in) of the box and move on!
  15. I don't see any problem with sharing your experiences or comparing any of the products we use. Some companies are more consistent from batch to batch with plastisol as well as coloring. I figure if I've been pouring again now for about 2 years, I've probably saved about double that time in trial and error, as well as who knows how much money for supplies that didn't work out for me for whatever reason that may be. I think it just comes down to your motives for suggesting one product over another. If I find that one product works well for me over another, I will talk THAT product UP instead of talking another down. I welcome everybody's experience with the products they use as that info in invaluable. Bashing is another story.
  16. It wouldn't take that long for the ko's to appear if you have "this years" hot bait. Just look at the Basstrix of Chatterbait. A couple of month's after it made it's way onto the front cover of Bassmaster, you can now buy ko's at Bass Pro Shops. If you have the next great bait, make as many as you can, because that's all you'll have the opportunity to sell! It's a real shame but it is what it is!
  17. Now, how did I miss that thread!
  18. Great idea! I'm going to have to try that very soon. I used to teach Elementary School Science. The kids did some experiments on insulating materials and found newspaper to be the best. I use to also shove them in the old Florida style jalosie windows up in Gainesville in my college days. How about wrapping some newspaper around the cup before pouring the pop? It should adhere to the pop and keep it's form to where the cup can be easily placed in and removed.
  19. Someone mentioned a while back, mixing some super glue with gorilla glue. Works well!
  20. .....e-bay There's 1/2 dozen aluminum molds up right now. These are also usually being sold by TU members.
  21. I also double the amount plus overflowing a bit on the spoon
