  1. Yeah, it's a standard letter. I've seen it and received a few like them in the past. Before I received it, I noticed his name all over TU trying to buy stuff up. I guess they figure they can scam a small percentage of the people. I'm still waiting for my $14,000,000.00 they have hold for me in a bank in Nigeria!
  2. Looks like the typical scam. He joined yesterday and is trying to buy from several TU members. All his requests are identical copied and pasted. Stay away. 3. Thanks for taking the time to lay that out there for us, Del. It gives me a better understanding of the process and what's involved. If you'd like me to field test any of those prototypes you might have laying around collecting dust........
  4. I've seen them fished like a swimbait on a televised torunament. I haven't tried them yet. All of the stores are out of them, but they seem to be plentiful on e-bay. Anybody know how they are rigged?
  5. It looks great to me. Most of us are perfectionsists to the extreme. Almost all of my special requests are for color combinations and not matching certain brand baits(and I'm thankful of that). One thing I find that works best for me is that ALL orders are paid for before I pour them. I've never had a customer ask for samples first. Most don't want to waste time. They want their baits and they want them now!
  6. I set my pyrex cup on an asbestos pad used for soldering jewelry. It also keeps the plastic pourable a bit longer.
  7. I would not pour too many of the 10 1/2 before you try them. They are going to tear apart where the hook goes in due to the weight and length of the worm. Actually, M-F regular is too soft for them as well. I've been mixing 3 parts regular to 1 part hardener.
  8. Unless you are pouring salted sticks, you shouldn't need any softener at all. If you are using pyrex cups, measure and WRITE DOWN how much of everything to are using. You can't really duplicate "eyeball" measurements. Well, I can't anyways!
  9. He must have taken it down. I do see his site was changed. I'll see if I can find the picture later in my cache. It was advertised as a "hinged mold" "no more lost wingnuts" There wasn't any price but it was an aluminum mold of the senko swimbait. It looked looked. I'm not trying to condemn anybody by any means as I have made my fair share (and still do so) of mistakes. He does have stuff up on e-bay and IS advertising items as Yamamoto and also states they are hand poured. http://cgi.#########/25-Yamamoto-Flappin-Hog-SENKO-RARE-WATERMELON-RED_W0QQitemZ300132784932QQihZ020QQcategoryZ31691QQcmdZViewItem
  10. The flappin hog is now available. This bait is similar to the Yamamoto Flappin Hog. This is the description He is also offering a swimming senko aluminum mold for sale.
  11. I'll second this one 2 piece 10" power bait type worm (would prefer it in 12 inch if possible)
  12. Thanks, I'll have to give that a try!
  13. What do you use for the labels?
  14. I have two prices for shipping. One price are for items that will fit in a USPS flat rate envelope with delivery confirmation is $5.25. The second price is $9.95 for a flat rate box with delivery confirmation. This seems to work out pretty well. The post office supplies the envelopes and boxes free of charge. And if you're nice to them they will give you the tape as well.
  15. Hey Jim! I really suck at matching up color. My friend Dale came by. He's a contracter and is always matching paint. He looked at what I had and hit it on the nose the first try. We took it out in the natural sunlight and also water tested both baits. Dead on with Zoom's Red Bug! I found that too much flake will make it appear a bit brown or orangish.
  16. Thanks everyone for your replies. I ended up using 6 drops LC Strawberry and 1 drop LC Black Grape to 4 oz's plastic with medium and small Kelly Green flake from Senko Sam. It is dead on to Zoom's Red Bug. If anyone is having problem with their green flake turning blue, try Frank's flake. It can take numerous reheats without curling or turning blue.
  17. Great, thanks. I do have LC's Black Grape as well as blue.
  18. I need to make up some Zoom's Red Bug for my tournament on Sunday. I found this recipe in the color cookbook. I don't have indigo. What would be the best substitution or does anyone have any of their own recipes. Thanks a bunch. I am not using salt. Richard 4 oz. SS plastisol add salt to taste 6 drops indigo 2 drops red 1 drop black 3/4 tsp .025 emerald green flake
  19. I like your color chart!! I think I might have something that came with my digital camera that might work.
  20. Nice pours! Please................nobody ask if they're smoke or brown!
  21. I use the high setting all the time. Make sure you remove the cup from the microwave as it will continue to cook if left in there.
