Anyone have a recipe for Mann's or zooms Arkansas shiner.
I have been playing with it but just can't get it.

Northwoods, you can't powder paint the blank first then pour the lead the mold will not close. You can either powder paint it after pouring, or airbrush it then seal it with Devcon 2T just hold it with hemo's on the front hook hanger for either process. If you powder paint just make sure the blades are free of residue or oils.
I recently had a tournament at lake where bass were guarding fry and I was throwing a swimbait and you could watch 3 4 and 5lbs'ers just come out of nowhere and ram the baits with their mouths closed. It was the most frustrating thing but at the same time was pretty cool. They usually came at the baits from the side though. It would also depend on the bait and depth. I have had fish knock a crankbait sideways on one color then go back through the same area with same color crank except the 2nd one had a orange throat and red gills. I have seen bass make a turn like a Zero turn lawnmower. Hopefully that helps ya a little.
I think it is personal preference. My baits are the same way. There are alot of store bought plastics that do the same thing it's the nature of the beast.
Not sure which plastic/grade you are using but you could try the mid grade (medium) like lurecraft #502. Or you could add a little hardner. But why change if they like it that way.
I am not positive but that looks like a Berkley Bungee Hawg, I think there called power hawgs now. The 2 pictures you posted looks like a true berkley one and the other looks like the old bungee hawg or a hand pour from a custom mold.
Hope this helps

Any one have an idea on how to do the Auroa gold paint scheme?
I have tried a couple of things and failed miserably, so I would be up for any suggestions.
Thanks
Max
Not sure if this will help, but the guy that invented the standout is a member of TU is handle is rockhopper. The link is his homepage

I was thinking along the same line as doomdart, go to a grocery store. If you want a mount I would take all measurements, length, width, girth, and take a few pictures from different angles, then have a replica made.
Anyone ever heard of Erie green color?
I am having a heck of a time trying to match it up
It is a yellowish gold dark watermelon with gold flake.

The paint that indybass is talking about is the stuff to use. I use it for my chrome baits.
It is used on model cars to chrome out bumpers and rims. The trick to using it is to prime your bait then use a high gloss black then the chrome, you will not be disapointed.
You can get replacement parts from Lee and lurecraft.
If you drip some worm oil or scent on the inside of your pot before heating then wipe it down, it acts like teflon coating and pulls right out.
Charkins not sure about that mold but you could use a 1/8" drill bit for the pin.
Some people do heat the head up with the guard in place, I don't like to though.
Try 20 psi that is what I spray createx at.
It will also depend on the dual action trigger because you can control how much air and paint. I also use #3 tip and nozzle.

You could try this http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/dropstmold/025724033776.aspx
It's the drop shot mold but would probably need modified.
It has 1/2 oz. and 5/8 oz.
