  3. Twobits The easiest way to do it, is get some hitch hikers and attach them to the eye of your jig head. You can get the hitch hikers from Janns Netcraft. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/spinnerbait-hooks/071065100004.aspx Or you can modify jig head mold.
  4. Smallhedz Why Can't I buy it? Did you buy it or copy it? Or is it a custom?
  5. Thanks for the advice guys, I appreciate it. Think I will just pour a couple in the S. soft, the middle grade, and the heavy, and see which has the better action for the design. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

  7. I have some questions for the TU plastic whiz kids. 1. In a poured swimbait what plastic would have better action, soft plastic or saltwater (extra strength) plastic? 2. This might be a stupid question but does the saltwater plastic weigh more than super soft plastic?

  14. Does anyone know where I could find a Zip it mold? It's like a zipper style bait with reaper style tail about 4 1/4" total length. any help would be appreciated.
  15. Could definitely count on my support. Colors: Pearl white Chartreuse Brown w/ orange flake Black w/ blue flake Either banded or strips (24 strands per strip) I would order in bulk (500 at a time variety of colors)
  16. I ordered some skirts from Janns Netcraft last year and when I opened the package it smelled like kerosene. So I personally took the skirts to the warehouse and they replaced them. They said that they get there skirts from a major skirt manufacture and the maker uses kerosene type chemical as a release agent.
  17. Hey J-N-P What size hooks are you using for the 1/8oz. the 1/4oz. the 3/8oz. Sometimes if you use hooks that are bigger than whats recomended it doesn't allow the mold to close all the way. Guess I would need to know what size hooks you are using to have any other suggestions.
  18. Thank you for the reply. What material are you using for the master, and do you use a releasing agent? Was thinking about using smooth on's plastic resin for making the masters(copies), then pouring the 0030 over it. Thanks again
  19. Anyone using smooth on 00M00 30 Silicone to make molds for pouring plastics? If so any tips to using it I have been using water putty and would like to try Rubber. Thanks in advance

  21. Hey Tr21 Are you using the small pot? What's the stock # of it from LC? I use 3 of the extra large pots at a time and have no problems the pour spout is bigger on the extra large pot. These are the exact steps I use. 1. Wipe the side walls, inside bottom, and spout down with scent or worm oil, no puddling. This helps in removal of the plastic when done. 2. Heat plastic up in the microwave completely, 20 seconds before I put the plastic in the pot, I turn the pot on while in the lowest position, add the plastic. (Make sure you have a good thermometer) 3. Gradually turn the heat up while watching the thermometer, I add my coloring and flake now. I use a whisk (egg beater) to stir my plastic, put the handle between your hands and rub them back and forth. I leave it in the pot at all times. It takes about 20 minutes to get the plastic up to proper pouring temp the final setting is usually around 5 to 6 (280* to 320*) The pots are very touchy each one is diferent. I use LC plastic. I have poured .062 flake with no problems I sent you a email and PM not sure if you got it.
  22. In my opinion I would think it would make a difference where you lived and the water clarity you fished anyways here are 10 colors. Junebug (black grape, small green flake and medium green flake) Black and blue Black and red Green pumpkin Melon pepper Watermelonseed Rootbeer (rootbeer, small and medium green flake black flake) Blue fleck pearl/white Pumpkinseed with chartruese tails or tips
  23. This may be a stupid question but when you guys use RTV silicone for foamies how do you keep the 2 part mold together when you pour and cure, I would think clamping it would distort the mold?
  24. Not sure if this will help but if you are making them for yourself you can just take plain pumpkinseed skirt and dip the tips in blue spike it dye or use spike it markers in the blue. You can try www.livingrubber.com
