  1. I use the fg-30 weed guards I think the diferences are the base thickness and the overall stiffness of the guards. I believe the fg-30 is a 1/8" base, and the fg-12 is 5/64" Not sure if that helps you but you can pluck 1 or 2 strands out.
  2. TR21x I am using the 24 oz. Lee pot and this works. Before I pour I drip either worm oil or LC tournament scent on the inside walls and bottom of the pot then wipe it down with a paper towel leaving a shine but no puddles. Then heat my plastic up in the microwave. 20 to 30 seconds before you put the plastic in the pot turn it on with the pot in the lowest setting, gradually turning the heat up, usually ends up around 5 1/2 to 6 1/2. Make sure you have a thermometer. There is a hole in the top of the pot rim I put my thermometer in there at an angle toward the pour spout keep the temp around 300*. When you are done pouring let the plastic cool then pull the plastic out works every time. If you have any questions email me. maximusgunn@yahoo.com Hope this helps
  3. I pour out of lee pots and was having problems with getting the plastic out it took forever, so after I cleaned it and took the wire brush to it and got it looking new I took some lure craft tournament scent put some drops down the side walls and pour spout took a paper towel wiped the pot and pour spout down and now I have no problems. Usually burnish the pot after 3 seperate pours. Then repeat. Try that and see if it helps
  4. That picture from kamakazee's post is the one they sell the tails are cut with a sqaure style paddle on each cut plus it has through wire harness poured in. It is not the same as the mold they are both the same size but the mold has a solid tail. It was made from a real bluegill has side fins and gill plate details, sunken eyes, it is a nice looking bait. Wish I had a camera to post a picture of it.
  5. According to Lure Craft catalog it says "3 ounces per gallon or 1 teaspoon per 12 ounces" of stabilizer in plastic before heating. I use a teaspoon per 12 ounces of plastic heat it in the microwave pour it in the lee pot and haven't had any problems.

  7. Marty Lure Craft has a new bluegill mold out looks exactly like a bluegill. They sent me a sample pour. Looks good. You can use diferent coloring and glitter to get it to look like shad or whatever. It is 4-1/4" long order #5x832 They also have shad style swim baits of diferent sizes from 4" up to 7" +
  8. I think I need to rephrase my question. The carbon blocker is used to recharge hunting clothes that contain carbon fibers as well as those that don't. It is non toxic . It is used to eliminate/block scent. I know it can block scent enough to allow a deer within 10 feet of me. Any thoughts?
  9. I was wondering, if those masks are made of carbon fibers could they be recharged? And if so there is a spray called carbon blocker that we use to recharge our hunting clothes that contain carbon fibers to block scents would that work?
