  1. Coming Soon. This bait will be available soon unpainted. All these will be leak tested and will sell for around 3.00 ea. One size to start with and then a few more after the molds are finished and prototypes are tested. This bait is similar to both the H2O's and Lucky Crafts but the weighting is different. 2. Well I cant speak for the others that sell unpainted blanks but we try our best to check them for leaks and running true. Now keep in mind we receive alot of these at a time and its nearly imossible to check every one. One thing I have always offered to all customers is that if you receive something your not happy with we replace it or give a refund. I think thats about the best anyone could ask for. If we tested every lure it would drive the price up. I also offer customers information on how to leak test there baits and seal them if there are any. I wouldnt recommend for anybody to paint the bait before testing it first regardless of who you buy your baits from. Speaking from experience, the other companies that sell baits unpainted do there best to make sure the customer is happy. Sometimes a bad one or two will slip through the cracks, thats just part of manufacturing. I am always willing to help, just ask! MAV www.crankbaitcomponents.com
  3. Thank You. I try to share if its possible. Mike
  4. Do a search for Auburn Plastics. They carry both G-10 and Poly. I'm pretty sure they have multiple facilities. Im lucky that there is one in Indy which is close. I buy all my g10 there and if you buy it in multiple sheets it alot cheaper than mcmaster-carr.
  5. Hello fello T/Uer's. I will be visiting greers ferry lake in Arkansas next month. I would like to do some fishing while there so anyone with info on the lake, spiecies info, resorts to stay at, tackle stores to visit and so on please reply to this thread or send me a pm. Thanks, MAV
  6. Does anybody have any input on Component Systems airbrush paint? Thought about adding this to our web site but It's sorta exspensive. Thanks, MAV
  7. Well if your doing a bunch at one time and there all the same color this is a good method. Excuse tyhe mess in the pic. Some times I get soo busy and dont get a chance to straighten things up much. These racks are cheap to build and are easy to use. Mine are 36" wide which fits inside the paint booth and they hold several dozen baits. They dont work very well when trying to do several different colors. Hope this helps spark your imagination. Good luck! MAV
  8. NAPA parts sroe has heat shrink tubing up to 2" or maybe bigger. Tubing works great for doing a few baits but if your going to do production using plastic like milk jugs vaccume formed and then mounted on a clamp is much faster.
  9. My personal pref. Bandsaw, hands down.
  10. I think I hit the colors on the money! The gold scaling could gave been a little heavier. Let us know how yours turns out. MAV
  11. How about a mesh laundry bag? there just a few bucks at wally world. You may even try over lapping two different types of mesh, you can get some cool effects that way.
  12. That may be too slow. Im sure someone else will get in on this. I use a 1/8 hp motor with a gear box that slows it down to 6 rpm.
  13. Createx sunrise yellow - several coats, it gets darker with more coats. Chocolate or brown around eyes and back. Dust shoulders with trans. gold over netting and orange on bottom. Thats my guess without painting one. Post your results! Thats a good color around here in the fall. Good Luck!
  14. You may have the psi set too low on your compressor.
  15. GLman, Try looking at the micro mesh at mcmaster-carr. they have several different options. The bigger fluid bed that CSI sells looks like it is made out f pvc lumber and you could probably make one for a fration of what they charge. Good luck. MAV
  16. I think they make polytranspar in both oil and water base.
  17. Yes. Both hoops have tullie material in them. If you try this on round or bigger baits just leave a little extra material in the hoop before you close it up. MAV
  18. Small embroidry hoops at wally world .50 ea. Works great on flat sided baits and not to bad on round baits with a little stipulation.

  22. get the smallest blade possible for your band saw. I use to use a scroll saw but can cut complex curves much more quickly with the band saw. Good luck and keep your fingers out of the way!!!! MAV
