  1. I just bought some at Lowe's. 1.47$ for 3' x 1/4". I've also bought some from Fastenal and McMaster-Carr.
  2. How many do you want. I have a whole tub full I bought at a swap meet! Probably around 400 packs, different sizes and colors.
  3. Clemmy, I started using a band saw last year. I found a scroll blade for my band saw wich is about an 1/8" and have very small teeth. I can cut out alot more on the band saw than I evr could on the scroll saw. A response to your other post, I make belly weights and lips(poly and G-10) I will send you some free samples if you PM me your address. My lips are punched out. Thanks, MAV

  5. Paasche makes a gun to shoot glitter. I dont remember the #. Holds a 3 oz. jar I think. I used a marble in mine to keep the glitter suspended.
  6. Try lure craft www.lurecraft.com or Dels. Do a search on tube dipping. Good Luck! MAV
  7. Thanks for the info. I will look around locally and see what I can find. I did see where wasco claims that there water base dries almost as quickly as solvent base. I may try it to see if there statement is true. Thanks, MAV
  8. I want to make the switch to laquer base paint. I need a variety of colors and clear. Any suggestions? Has anyone used Wasco's laquer based paints? They seem sort of expensive. Thanks, MAV
  9. Ron, Just picked up a used 14" band saw with extra blades last week. I will never use the scroll saw again. The band saw is MUCH quicker. I found mine for 85.00 and its like new. I use the blade with the smaller teeth for cutting out shapes. Did you receive your lips??? MAV
  10. I use tube plastic for mine. Seems to work good so far. Good Luck, MAV
  11. Try Dick Nites paint. It works great on jigs. MAV
  12. I agree with Del. I started using AutoCad and CadCam twenty some years ago and its come along way. tmarcucci, what you may consider is doing drawing of hard baits(crankbaits, jigs ect,) For custom molds or for guys to convert to a file that they can print off at home to cut out crankbait blanks. I as well would like to see your posts. The possibilities are endless! MAV
  13. Some type of dupli carver/copy carver will work. I'll give you the details next time we talk. I will send you a pm. MAV
  14. My mold had the vents, I was just pouring too fast. MAV
  15. Problem solved. It seems I was trying to pour them to quickly. I also found that if I poured directly dowm the center of the spru that they poured with no problens. Thanks again for all the help. MAV
  16. I will try it again on Sat. I will post a pic and more info tomorrow. Thanks again guys. MAV

  18. I have been trying all day to get this stupid thing to pour right. Pre heated the mold, made sure the plastic was really hot. And about every other thing you can think of. The stupid thing still wont fill the whole cavity. I've even tried two different types of plastic. Any suggestions???? Im really confused and frustrated:censored: Thanks, MAV

    Redbelly Bream

Excellenct!! I bet that would work great around here. Can you do that on a round bait??? MAV
  20. Count me in Del. If your going to make that swim tube mold I want a few. MAV
  21. How do you keep the plastic hot enough while its on the hot plate! Sign me up for a copy too, I need it! MAV
  22. Look at the part of the blade that are bent over. If one is bent more or less than the other it will effect the way the bait runs. I usually check them by looking at the bait from the front, or where the line tie is. If one is bent more than the other it will be obvious. Good Luck! MAV
