  1. I am looking for a regular wire hook similar to a 32786. I know the 32729 is there, but I need a 5/0 hook. Does anyone know of something similar?
  2. Does anyone have a mold very similar to an erie darter Jr. and can make a custom laminate color and get them to me by the end of October? Poor Boys was going to be able to make a run, but are too backed up and I would love to have some before an upcoming tournament.
  3. I have a pair or set of 3 prong expanding pliers for making skirts that I have missplaced. I know there are many different methods of making skirts, but for me, these are the easiest to use while making them up in the boat. Who has them? Where can I get spares? Thanks
  4. I use automotive belt dressing, I seem to always have a can laying around. Works fine for me. I'm sure there are plenty of other sprays you can use as well.
  5. I use a mixture of watermelon brown and black to get the green pumpkin I like. If I remember correctly it's aboult 1/3 brown, 1/4 black to watermelon.
  6. Try Angler's Pro Shop in Pennsylvania. I have purchased marabou and daddle hackles by the pound there. Hope it helps.
  7. It is not a modification for casting distance. The bait out of the box is not very good, but when weighted properly, swims an amazing little dance that the bass can't resist. I have modified a few, but I know there are people out there who know the right way to do it. Just looking for a bit of help before I start drilling and filling.
  8. I am hoping someone here can help me with this bait. Here in Pa. it is a hush, hush type thing. I have a few that swim perfectly, but recently purchased some new ones that need modification. If anyone here can help, I would gladly appreciate it.
  9. I have a question for all of the gurus. Have any of you ever played with this bait? I believe it is a local thing, but some of us here in Pa think this is the best lure out there. I have had many of these baits, and have tweaked a few myself, but was hoping someone out there could give me the "goods" on this bait. Any help?
  10. I remember when I 1st started pouring as well. Are you warming your molds prior to pouring? Or are you pouring into a cold mold? I too live in Pa and not too far from Cabela's. If you are close, I am more than willing to help you out. Try setting your mold on top of your pot as it is warming up to warm the mold, then pour 4 or 5 without hooks so that the mold is warm before you try pouring one with a hook.
  11. As stated previously, marabou and fox is just about perfect for tying smaller jigs. If you are tying larger jigs( bass, pike, etc) Yak hair and if you can find it, polar bear hair make excellent jigs. I tie very large (14-16in) flies for billfish, and these are awesome. Use your imagination to come up with what you want out of it. When tying bass jigs, I usually use a combination of bucktail, marabou and fox to acheive the look and movement I want. Experiment, and let us know how you make out.
  12. Can anyone help me find, or do you pour big (10"+) Lizards? I could really use some for the upcoming season. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
