Thanks for the response guys. The Mold is Bobs 2 piece 4" swim bait. I've been wanting to come up with a variety of different thing to do with this thing so that I can add them to my color chart. It is a 2 part pour that requires timing. I pour the tail to what I think to be 2/3 of the mold with very runny plastic. ( it needs to be very hot) I then Immediately pour out access platic over the back of the bait, set the mold down back side down to let it somewhat set. You will need just a few seconds. When you pour the first color keep the mold tipped towards the back of the bait to keep the plastic off the belly. Pour the second color in the mold, again the plastic must be extremely hot. Do the same with the the second cavity. I'll post more pics of different colors with eyes. Sorry That secret is mine to keep. Guys, this is a very frustrating pouring process. if it is not done with patients and very hot plastic you will get air pockets in the baits. If you using the baits for yourself that may not be a bad thing, More action. thanks Angler310

I considered that. The way I'm thinking is use it for the small appendages. Then shut it off. The larger stuff you wouldn't need it.

mmmmm...a sheet of thin metal, pop rivits, some velcro and one of those vibrating eggs out of a neck relaxing pillow.. I might give that a try this week. sound like that might just be the trick for small area pouring.. Mike

good point. it would depend on the plastic. eventually the plastic will settle and lay down. With the air pockets traped, the bait immediately comes to attention and remains standing. I am in the process of working with these as I write. It is also quite considerably lighter and requires weight. Unfortunetly living in Maine, the baits don't work well on Ice and snow. My bath tub would be my next choice of experimentation. The glass of water I used to take the pictures is what really sparked my interest. keep the opinions coming. loco, these things are dangerous. You can go into the search and posts will come up with safety issues about these injectors. They are nothing but trouble. When you get burned with 350 deg plastic you will totally understand. I've got a nice scar and there are other members that have them as well from this thing. best to stick with pouring. It in itself has it's hazzards when you get careless and don't pay attention to detail. angler310

excellent concept Nil. will the cavity allow for stuffing with additional floatation such as a piece of styro foam?

anchor hockings has a new cup out that has 3 pouring spouts built into the rim, I beleive the small one I looked at was 4 oz. the spouts were very pointed and would be a perfect deal for pouring multiple colors in small quantities. I found these in the kitchen section at wally world. (had the wife with me..not good to buy bait making stuff with budget minded women) check them out. Mike
