  1. Well I was hoping to order more today but no response form dicknite yet. Last time I ordered it took day's as well for communication. Is this normal ? I have a # for him but I get the answering machine.
  2. What did you use to attach to the motor ?
  3. Thanks Guy's I never did let it drip dry into the can. When you dip and pull out it has major run off, I did let that run off in the can and then shut the lid is that OK ? One time I did not get the lid fully tight so that might be what did it ? I am scared about putting it in jars as I did that with the glitter in it and it set up in the jars, the jars had more air then volume so that could be why as well. I will thin this and then use it for glitters and get new stuff and probably try the thumb screw trick in the bottom, put it in a jar full for dipping, this way I only loose part of it if it happens again, But then when you dip and pull out it is going to get on the lip of the jar so then you need to wipe the lip everytime so the lid does not get stuck, do you have enough time to do this ? You need to let the lure drip off, get it on the turner and then tend to the jar ( lots of air time this way ) I know, I just need 3 more hands, LOL
  4. Hey guy's, I bought a qt of the dick nite about 3 weeks or so ago and I dip. I open the lid, then dip and let the main drain back in the can but then close the lid and let the lure drip a bit then put it on my turner. My problem is the stuff in the can is setting up on me already and is about junk because it is too thick now, it sat for 3 day's without me openng it and it had a 1/4" layer set up on top. I have also put some in a jar and added glitter to it so I can brush that on and that stuff I used once and it has set up on me as well. how are you guy's using it if it. ??
  5. My basement is about 60deg. so I have a box 2x2x2 with a radiant heat panel mounted to the ceiling with a temp controller set at 90deg. the last few baits I did 2 of them got a bubble on them and so now I probably think it is too warm from Bobp's post on balsa.
  6. But you have to email and wait for a paypal request, you will not get the discount if you order on his site.
  7. Just to give a update on how this worked, The banana plugs turn inside the sockets as I suspected but someone here said they did not in his. I ruined a couple killer looking lures when they stuck together when I turned my head, Dang-it. Well I ended up gluing the pieces in place and they are not removable anymore but they are working great. the alligator clips are working very well also.
  8. seabass, I do take paypal, Out of the country shipping might be more or just take longer. Not a plug here ! but I own and opperate www.pvccages.com so I have scraps around.
  9. Dean, I did not mean I was right, I know you have more experience then me. Not to steel this thread but can you sand DN ( I bumped one of my lures before it was dry and well you know what happened )
  10. Ever hear of the group the " recordable " They are premium technology. LOL
  11. Sorry I did not give kudos to the main people with the parts they had ideas with, I do not recall the names.
  12. Well, this is new and so far it holds that DD22, lures are not heavy, were talking ounces not pounds, LOL
  13. Probably not a bunch of enginers here as well, maybe to help, plug it in and count how many seconds it takes to do a 360 and then maybe someone can get close to what RPM it is relative to.
  14. He let sit for 3 day's, hard to believe they were not dry, maybe you have alot of moisture in the basement ? I do mine in the basement I did not heat set and can dip 20 mins. later. But I only have done about 15 lures my room temp right now in the winter is 60 deg. I do have a warm box that I let my baits sit in after dipping.
  15. If anyone wants plastic for little projects I will give it too you for free, you just need to pay shipping. I can sell you a little bottle of the weld-on glue. The plastic is 3/8 thick and can be cut with a table saw or router. Heck if you know what size pieces of plastic you want I will even cut it. To get this stand shipped disassembled with glue, $10 ( the glue is needed , others will not work and last )
  16. Not the greatest picture, I guess I should have wiped the dust off. But it will hold all your cranks, even rattle traps, DD22's husky jerks.

  18. Nice Rookie, Now those 2 lures you just got in the mail from me, LOL p.s. my email addy is predatorbassbaits@charter.net
  19. Hey guy's, here is my design from bits and pieces from some of you here. I used the CD disks, I drilled holes in 2 disks, the sockets below have the threaded socket ends with the nut, I took the sockets apart and put the plastic sleeve between the 2 disks I got the banana plugs and jacks from http://www.futurlec.com/Banana-BananaPlugs.shtml MTSOCKB Black 4mm Panel Mount Socket $ 0.08 BNNB Black 4mm Banana Plugs $ 0.25 The exacto knifes would not fit in these so I found 2" alligator clips on ebay for $9 for 100 plus shipping. The alligator clips need to be the 2" that has a plastic round end, then just shave a tad off so it fits deeper in the banana plug. The motor I got was also a link from here but I would not recommend it as the shank is too short. I got the pulley to connect to the motor from stamina and that was a cheap plastic thing that was not very good ( a set screw and plastic, OK ) so I had to drill the motor shaft and the pulley and put a bolt in to hold it. This thing is sturdy and strong. Plugs are easily removable and make nice dipping hollders as well, just stick in the socket and your done.
  20. I have a injection machine as well. Do you have your own molds for what you want ? you can email me at predatorbassbaits@charter.net
  21. Seabass, yes all white. As long as the paint is dry after the white you should be able to do the blue and pineapple right away. I started top down with light blue then pearl pineapple on lower, then clear coated and let set to dry. Net the bait. Then top and sides with green pumpkin, Then pearl tang on lower side then pearl pineapple on lower side, then lightly sky blue on sides and last the black. You should be able to do this all quickly, it takes longer to clean the air brush between each color when you only have one at the moment. The only colors that are used heavy is the white and then the first blue and pineapple, the rest of the color steps are done very lightly, if you use to much paint it does not look as nice.
  22. steps, I scuffed up the crank bait, painted white, then sprayed top 3/4 with sky blue, bottom 1/4 with pearl pineapple, next dipped in dicknite otherwise my clamps when netting would damage paint job, cured over night. Netted. Lightly shot green pumpkin mix ( from color chart listed here 3 leaf green to 1 light brown ) then sprayed pearl tangerine shot a tad of pearl pineapple again to get scale patterns shot sky blue on sides to knock down the green pumpkin a tad added painted black kill spot. Also a trick with lures having eyes like the bandit I took a knife and shaved off the eye so it would be flat to except a 3D eye correctly. dipped in dicknite, let cure overnight, added eyes and dipped again. I tried with more tangerine on belly but it did not look as nice.
  23. Thanks guy's, these pics do not do them justice, it makes them look a bit rough and they are not. here is another link to see more pics of them http://www.predatorbassbaits.com/id72.htm
