  1. Hey Guy's I got my pressure pot fired up today, ( I will post pics soon ) Anyway I had to use it. I have 10 molds that are 5 1/4" 4 pours. After 200 baits the molds were getting hot and then my worms would not pour right. the top 3/4 to 1" would get a void or loose spot, it was not from trapping air, I kept trying and the next 125 baits everyone of them had them so I had to quit, , sure wish I would have quit before that many. Is it possible the molds are just to hot ? They did not seem that hot as I have run 100 baits with my presto pot with no problems and those molds seemed hotter ? Or could it have been the plastic was to cold ? Any help would be great.
  2. I have 21 aluminum 2 piece molds and 15 one piece aluminum molds with 8 plasters and 6 rtv
  3. Everything is done, I am just waiting on the heat band to get here. I have a up-grade for your pot if you would like. Were that rubber grommet is I drilled it out and put a plug in it so you can remove it and pour plastic, color, salt without opening up the lid, I think it will be a big help for salt as you can have the motor running and stirring as you pour the salt in. I also can make you a base cover to go over your wood base out of PVC plastic so silicone molds will slide around on it without using paper and I can make you a slide for your 2 piece worm molds to run in. I will post pics as soon as I can.
  4. James, do you mean $90 ? what HP ? Torque ? RPM did you get ?
  5. I did not see anything that would work for me with a quick look, This is what I bought http://www.bodine-electric.com/Asp/ProductModel.asp?Context=13&Name=24A-Z%20Series%20Parallel%20Shaft%20DC%20Gearmotor&Model=0159&Sort=11207 The ac Motor on the LC pot is a 1/20 horse power. This is the speed controller I got with it. http://www.bodine-electric.com/Asp/ProductModel.asp?Context=20&Name=Filtered+PWM+DC+Basic+Speed+Control&Model=0790
  6. Keep a eye out on E-bay for one ? I bought one that is 58 rpm and it is not fast enough, It only raises the salt halfway. I do not know if a 83 RPM will be, it might ? I would like to know if it is because I see allot of them on e-bay. I know on the pressure pots that Lure craft offers it is a 96 RPM AC moter and that works. Grainger sells them for $120 Do not waist your money on a AC/DC speed controller if you go that route, (single phase AC gear motors you only get 10% reduction in speed, And I doubt you get that. AC speed controllers work for 3 phase motors ) You will need a speed controller for DC gear motors over 96 RPM I have a 139 rpm DC Gear motor with speed control I purchase new for $450 just 2 weeks ago. I could not find a DC motor that was lower then this, the next was 83 rpm And I did allot of searching. Let me know how it works if you go with the 83 RPM DC gearmotor.
  7. I bought one, Being first time using it I probably did not use it correctly ? It seemed to use alot of paint and did not cover good, I ended up using it to spray glitter and had better luck.
  8. I have had one for about 6 years, I used it last year for plastic but I do not think it was accurate this way. Verify it with a regular temp measuring tool to see if it is.
  9. I would not say there is a safe way to inject, I have been using this here is the link http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7745&page=3&highlight=syringe I am working on a pressure pot that you can open pour and inject with.
  10. You can probably get away with 330 deg if pouring worms and such but if you want to pour the 2 piece frogs it will need to be 350 and maybe + you will know because the feet will not fill until it is hotter. If you can pour a perfect bait at 300deg then do it.
  11. I got 200 from e-bay for about $29 shipped, they have more listed . I could not make them that cheap.
  12. Anyone living in Ohio check out this link for a spinning pegboard. Sure wish I was closer http://cgi.#########/Spinning-Retail-Rack-Peg-Board-Unusual-Shelving_W0QQitemZ220088245594QQcategoryZ109434QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. Man I cannot believe how much trouble you guy's are having, I have the presto pot version and it works great.
  14. Just to give a up-date, I hope to have my version of this pot done in 2 weeks, I am waiting on the heat band. This unit will be very nice, no short cuts were taken. All wiring will be in a UL rated box, plus I am using a correct speed controlled motor. Del mentioned you could build one of these for $500, well I hope no one attempts it unless your good at dumpster raids, LOL
  15. If you want translucent baits use non-flowered salt. Powdered salt will be opaque.
  16. Shawn does not really have a website to display his molds, your better off calling or e-mailing him. I have been having him make me some. He is a bit more Money but he answers e-mails. One of the companies you mentioned above you had better call, If you send a e-mail to him your more then likely to not get a question answered.
  17. This machine does not have fancy machine work, it is in like a 2 or 3" nipple with fittings to hold both sides of the lid. the rod is 1/4" and the inside of the pipe fittings is 1/4" and it does leak air but not very much at all. All he did was drill a hole in the lid put a pipe fitting on top with a fitting on the botoom of the lid and used a nipple to make it longer, Brass was used for this.
  18. Both, inject and open pour so yes it would need to be air driven, what injection do you have ? The pot By looking at dels link on his site is $159. The pot I got from LC came with a book and I looked up the website, they want $270, and it looks like it is the same pot. http://www.pressurecooker-outlet.com/americancooker.htm https://store.wafco.com/ezmerchant/home.nsf
  19. Ya I seen your post on your website but it seems that it is not complete ? questions were asked but never answered.
  20. So you use the paint can listed then ? do you heat it with the heat band as well ? any secrets you want to share for parts ?
  21. No they did not clamp any wires down, That paint can is cheap, Would it work with plastic ? The Aluminum preasure pot for a 2 1/2 gal is $280 Heat element and temp controller is about $560 the AC motor is $120 a DC motor is $290, open box speed control is $50, closed box speed control is $160 I figured what I received from L C has about $1100 in material.
