  1. Posting the bill broke on grass was not cool, You emailed me on this and I explained that in no way can the bill break like it did on you by hitting grass, I explained the lure had to hit something or it was damaged in shipping. The bill did not just break off , the hole front of the lure broke off and these bills are not attached to the lure, they are part of the lure ( molded all in one ) and I even offered to replace it. It just ticks me off that you post it breaking on hitting grass.
  2. I wish I would have known you guys would change the weight on these, I probably could of had them made with different weights, my next batch I will have them made a tad lighter if everyone would prefer but for now I am expecting a new order anyday so will have to wait until these are gone. Any other lures you would like to see changes too ? I will be ordering dt-10 and 16's next. I have 2 new molds being built also that should be a big big hit.
  3. The sinking lipless is a fast sinker not a slow one. I did some testing today on the square bill. no difference in swimming action, It was a tad harder to tune the rounded bill. Plus if it does not swim right make sure the lure floats, if it sinks it has water in it, I found that one out. These lures are suppose to be tank tested for leaks but if you remove the plug then it needs to be tested, I removed 3 and 2 of them leaked. If Anybody ever has trouble tunning them it is a fine line to were they need to be, you bend the figure 8 snap left or right, not twsit it left or right.
  4. Hillbilly, are you talking about the floating lipless ? I tested 6 of those the last couple days and 4 swam great with some tuning with # 4 hooks on the front and # 6 on the back, 2 of them would not swim, I put # 2 hooks on those 2 and then they swam. Because I got a complaint the other day on them and the testing I did on them I have decided to drop the price to $.35 each and when they are gone I am not restocking them. Some guys are going to get a good deal on them, only about 350 give or take left. If anyone here orders, the way I have shipping set up and the cheap lures I may have to ask for additional shipping charges.
  5. Mark, it is just for looks, some guys do not like the looks of the bill and the screw in plug to change the rattles, I can understand the looks but the options it has out weights that but the fisherman is a mighty picky individual.
  6. Email me your name you use on paypal and I will ship you 2 of the predator jerk to try out. Have you tried the sinking one ?
  7. Nice, posting in a thread about my lures. I will try and pay the favor back.

  8. I can get thicker split rings. I have not done alot of testing yet on the square bill but will. I rounded the bill and tested the one lure and all was fine, I did have to tune it a tad. I will clear some tonight and try them tomorrow.
  9. Thanks for the promps, I am working on some things.
  10. Thanks Guy's, Yes the lures I am trying to keep them reasonably priced. If I tested and tuned everyone then they would be more $ Maybe that is why the big name lures perform out of the box and their prices match that ? I am in works for new molds.
  11. I tested some of these lures the last couple days and they swim great, I still will be selling these because they work good and they are one of my favorites.
  12. Hey guy's I have been doing some major testing the last few days and am weeding out anything that does not work well, so far I am having trouble with the lipless floaters so I would not recomend those right now. The 2.5 has a tighter wobble then a rc 2.5 I am having new RC1.5 and RC2.5 molds made. The sinking rattle trap is a killer lure, you will be very happy with that. I am not possitive on the sink rate, maybe a 1' a second ? I will have to test that. I hope the 130mm sammy will be here next week.
  13. If the lures were from me you can paint the lure with bill attached of not, just make sure the bill fits before painting, sometimes they have a tad of flashing that needs to be trimmed. You can paint the lure without the bill in it and clear coat it, then after it dries you can use 2ton to glue it in and clear again to make sure it seals. I use 2ton on first coat and devcon on second coat. I have not tried it but you probably could use supper glue to glue the lip in also, they fit tight so you do not need much glue.
  14. Jeff, I know this is not a good excuse of why I acted the way I did but the same time you emailed me I was dealling with another issue a custom painter posted on a different forum were he said on this forum that the lures were all junk but one and one other one worked only a certain way. This guy spent $500 on lures last year and bought 7 different styles out of 25 styles, 4 of those styles he kept buying all year long and I found out that the other 3 styles he only bought once of each, one of those were the square bill and the other 2 he did not even try. So he posted on this forum that all the ko'offs were junk, he did not mention my name but the lures he did mention I am the only one selling them. I was angry over this because he said they were all junk and he only tried 5 styles and 4 of those he kept buying, he said he would not buy anymore because he could not sell them with integrity. So long story short he dogged 22 lures that he never even tried but made it look like they were all junk in a open forum so at the time you emailed me I was dealing with that and I just took your comment along with what I was feeling at that same time. Sorry.....
  15. Thanks, Jeff, I still will send you 25 lures for the way I acted. I would like it if you would send me one of those lures that will not swim so I can test it. You can keep the rest if you want. My jerk shad, I had a guy say they will not swim, I refunded him all his money and asked him to send me one, he sent it to me and I found that he had to much clear coat on the nose, when I went to tune it a chunk of clear coat broke off and the lure swam fine after that. I had another guy say the square bills would not swim, he sent them back and I refunded him his money, I gave them to one of my regular customers and never heard a peap about them.
  16. OK Guy's I just got back from testing some lures I tested 2 of these megabass griffin knock offs and they swim, both of them I had to tune them as they both ran a hard left but once tuned they ran just fine, they have always swam tipped a tad to the right but they run straight. I used a 7' med action kistler rod with 12lb seaguar abrax X flourocarbon line, I put 6mm split rings on everything and #6 mustad tripple grip hooks. I also tested a square bill because I have herd from rummers they do not swim right and roll and leak. My result were using 6mm split rings and #2 mustad tripple grip hooks, The lure ran to the left, I tuned it and it rolled, I tuned it again and it ran straight as it is suppose to. As far as leaking, these things are designed to be able to change out the weight and rattles. If they leak then they are not screwed in correctly. Also I tested my square bill with the lip rounded off on the corners as people do not like the looks of this lure but I have sold over 10,000 of these. I am going to have a new mold built of the RC 2.5 just because of the new lure knock out there my sales have slowed down on those so in about 2 months I hope I will have the new lure at a resonable price. For those that have my square bill take a fine tooth file and round the corners off, it only takes about 5 to 10 seconds on each corner. Here is a picture of one I did.
  17. Guys, Well I hate seeing posts like this. Yes these lures came from me and I was a bit rude. To try and explain I have sold thousands of these and never had a complaint so I just figured Jeff did not care for them and was just saying they did not swim so he could return them. I want every lure I sell to swim right because they are suppose to and if they do not then they need to be fixed. I do not want a bad rep for selling junk thats for sure. I will take one to the water today and see how it works and maybe that batch was bad . I use these myself because I love them but like I said maybe I did get a bad batch. My reply back to Jeff was un called for and I am sorry I responded they way I did. Send me another email with your address and I will send you 25 lures of any style you want. The cheaper lures are cheap but they still need to be right and swim right. This batch was made with a cheaper plastic then the ABS like before so maybe that is why they do not swim right. ? Again Jeff sorry for the way I acted.
  18. I hope to have my DT-6 in a week or 2, I have been saying that for 2 years, LOL But they finally should be done , The bill will attach differently then my DT-10 and DT-16 and the bill is acrylic. They also will not be $2.50
  19. Hi Guy's, I am glad you figured out how to make the lure swim right, I never want the lures to be a pain to work right, you should be able to paint them and chuck them with no hassle. This square bill, I have sold about 10,000 of them over a 2 year period. I never was a fan of the cut off looking bill on them and I finally got the manufacturer to change that, I hope to have the new looking bill in a week or so. In the 2 year period I have only receive 10 of those lures back from one guy because he said they would not swim right, I gave those 10 lures to a good customer and I have not heard a peep from him about them not swimming. I hope the new lure bill will also help with the swimming action that anyone is having trouble with. As far as someone posting his lure sank, I am sure the screw was not tight and the lure filled with water. I do not want a bad rep. and will try and make things right if you get a dud.
  20. I use celtec brand PVC, it is the expnaded pvc in 10mm.( 3/8") I use it to make reptile cages that I sell as my other business.( www.pvccages.com ) I have scraps that I throw away every week and would send some to anyone , just pay shipping. This type of pvc some glues will bond them, The best glue is called ( Weld-on 1007 ) but most people will not be able to purchase it. It is a chemical bond, it melts the two pieces together.
