  1. Would you describe how you do the R bends on the twisttech?
  2. I answered my own question last nite - turned on my heatgun - on medium, one setting below where I normally paint with - held the wire/hook form in front of it for 5 or so seconds, put it in my spinnerbait mold that had been setting on top of the lead pot... had the first perfect pour I've seen in a long time. Sometimes its the simple thing - I had _never_ warmed up the hooks/wire before and would fight to get a good pour - 1 out of 5 might be "good enough". Thank you tackleunderground, you saved the day!
  3. I have my painting oven near my lead pot - what temp range are we looking at to pre-heat the inserts? Low on a crock pot seems to be around 225F in my head.

    Giggy head mold

Take a 'Worm Nose Jig' (mushroom) head mold and re-orient the hook... that's all a Giggy Head is. I don't know of any ready made molds out there.
  5. Nope - you ordered the Hagen's - I'm willing to bet my favorite Jig Skirt recipe that they just typo'd the name on the website!
  6. yeah, those videos show only the bare basic spinner - not even a spinnerbait form! I'm hoping there are better resources out there! Thanks!
  7. So, I recently picked up a Hagen's Wire bender, (yesterday in fact) - and have mostly figured out how to make a spinnerbait form and the little spinners.... other than learning how to ruin straight wire (which is quite easy) - I'm having trouble learning how to make more complex things - Like a twisted wire spinnerbait form - for example. I also want to be able to make a 'clasp' of sorts, similar to what you would find on a 'Beatle Spin'. Are there any good sites with instructions/diagrams on how to make more shapes with it? Also, is the bulk wire as easy to use? I bought a bunch of straight wire shafts to start with...
  8. I use a drill bit to clean the holes - seems quicker to me. I am also using a product called "GOOP" to glue in the gaurds.
  9. So far, I've gotten over 200 with my tube of GOOP - and i've still got plenty... Got the tip from this board, and haven't looked back!
  10. If you're not comfortable modding - Do-it released a new mold that may interest you - http://www.barlowstackle.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=6&Product_ID=2854&CATID=59
  11. ITs actually a 60, and you'll have to modify the Do-It tube jig mold to get it, at least that is what I did... you want the Mustad 32729 hook.
  12. Nope, never arrived... checked paypal, and the money was still 'unclaimed' as of today, since i got no response from tehm whatever to email, I canceled the payment. Let us know if you get yours... I have little patience these days.
  13. Just ordered it, when I get it, I'll let you know... design of it is certainly promising, and just about anything has to be better than the simple tool that Stamina (et al) sell. One of these days I'll spring for the bench type tool... but $120 seems pricy.
  14. cadman, ordered it from http://www.drfun.com/SkirtMaster/ , cost was $20.... I plan to use it with the tabbed material, any tips on that?
