  1. Means that now the loud people are bagging person x, running to person y, but when things don't go completely their way, they'll then bag person y. They'll run out of people willing to work for them before long Strictly theoretical, of course.
  2. I was gonna post about how my experiences with Shawn were all positive, and yes, I could include a very large number of dollars I spent, etc, etc, but I think Del said it best. There's two sides to every story, and the new kid on the block (no offence machinest) doesn't always have the right answer. At least until someone bags him, but by then, the damage is done.
  3. With wire baits, just heat the head only, dip them in there hook first, then pull it out. Set the bait to the side to wipe the excess powder off the hook shaft before curing. When painting jigs, some gets in the weedguard hole, I generally run a drill bit back through them before glueing them in. Swapping to powder just to get away from the smell of Vinyl is reason enough!
  4. If it's a Shimano, they onyl made them in the large size, I found a few on eBay, but they're too proud of them! Thanks for looking
  5. Dunno if any of you will know what i'm talking about, but here goes! Shimano made a tackle storage system, I think they were all red boxes, they were made for specific types of lures, like one for cranks, one for stickbaits, one for topwater, etc. These were all 3700 size. BPS made one as well, same box, they just came in different colors, red for cranks, blue for jerkbaits and green for topwater, I may have that wrong, not sure. They also had a grey one for grubs or something. These boxes were offered in both 3600 and 3700 sizes. If anyone has any of these, i'd really like the red one's, in the 3600 size only, and are wanting to part with them, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know! Yes, I'm aware that the FTO's exist, and they're great, but they don't fit a dang thing

Don't really like the chart, but like the brown, back to the drawing board on that one. Still gonna take it out to the lake this week to get the only opinion that matters
  7. Judging from what the bottle says, I'd say it smells like Acetone or MEK
  8. My first paintjob was totally original And no, Bob doesn't have any more originals, he sent them all to me, and I'm keeping them
  9. Living rubber sells wide rubber, I think it's like 1/8" strands or so, you might try that.
  10. Thanks Sonny. Just got back from our weekly Tx, a guy showed up there looking for me, said he saw us in the paper, and was interested in joining, that and the emails from interested people, the article did it's job
  11. So it was JT who made it first! The rest just took the gills off and called it theirs!! I coulda been BobP too, he just sent me one, hmmm
  12. I'm gonna vote for another custom!! I just left a forum members house this morning $200 poorer cause of one
  13. Thanks! I knew they were there, but I had no idea they were taking pics of me! Already got a few calls/emails off the article, I've been trying to make it in print earlier in the year, when it's not so hot, and more folks are thinking of fishing, but I'll take what I can get
  14. Check out www.lurecraft.com, Kim has a lot of stuff that's not listed and she takes Paypal. She also has most things you have listed on the site. Speaking of Paypal, I've repeatedly emailed Stamina, Barlow's and Jann's asking them if they would accept Paypal, I get the standard 'Sure buddy, we'll look into that' from the others, and a 'no' from Barlow's.
  15. I use the Japanese version of the Viento, and while it's a nice reel, I find the twitch bar kind of useless. You might like it though. There is a Megaforce coming out with this bar at a lower price point later this year, if that helps. There are also a few more middle of the road offerings, such as the Tierra that might warrant a look, but I don't know anything about them at all. The TDA is one helluva reel, and easily worth it's asking price, you cannot go wrong with this reel at all. I've got one in the P series, as well as a Black Widow II, which is a modified TDA. Never had any experience with the Fuego, but if you want small, look to the Sol I almost bought a Zillion Crazy Cranker, until I read on TT that it didn't handle lighter baits as well as the other picks you mentioned, not an issue if your offerings are gonna be 3/8 or more, though. If you've not picked the rod, let me suggest the Light and Tough series from Daiwa, nice rods, and a steal at $100. If you get them from Tackle Warehouse, it's only $6 for shipping, since orders over $50 are free, and rods are $6 to ship. Good luck!
  16. The News and Observer did an article on local fishing clubs, and we got chosen for the photo shoot. For those that don't know, I run the Jon Boat Fishing Club, it's my baby There is an outdoors section of the paper every Thursday, we got a full story on the club last year, which was a really nice two page spread, so I was surprised to whip the paper out this morning, and see the JBFC sticker on my boat on the front page, with directions to the article! When I flipped over to the article, there was a picture of me weighing some fish, and my boat again We also got top billing on the club listing, which was super nice! Here is a link to the article
  17. Thanks Craig! You know how it is, first it was the tackle monkey, then the bait making monkey hazmail - Got them to load this time, they look nice! I don't know the spawning colors, but something I find myself doing, and have to watch, is spraying too much paint, especially for a highlight or something, maybe being conscious of that will help you lighten the colors up? I always feel that the finished product is better looking when I go easy on the color.
  18. Photobucket sucks, sitting here with broadband, and they won't load!!! Look into Picassa albums from Google, they're free as well, and no crappy server issues. I'd like to see the pics Here is my album, there is a link there to create one if you want.
  19. IMO you should lose the worm oil, as it turns colors. The scent will color the salt as well, if it soaks it up (depending on the scent, of course!)
  20. Contact Shawn Collins at Collins Customs, he's got a 3D scanner, and can hook you up.
  21. I'd like to add that it might be scents (if you're marinading them), but i think that's what Del was saying. A good question would be why are you using the salt? It will keep the baits from sticking together, like oil will, but there is no need for both.
  22. If you think it was a hand pourer, you might have a hard time, as there are a LOT! I think if you were to post a picture of said bait, unless it was a direct Zoom copy, you might find someone who makes those, and can help you. Good luck!
  23. Taking the link out isn't going to help now, you're already on the 'list'. Jerry is right, though, a form email script will work, if they do manage to figure it out, they'll just email you directly. I don't know anything about filters, other than the one that's included with my Mac, but there is a learning mode, where it flags suspected messages, and on mine, and I assume on all email filters, you will have the option to have the filtered messages placed in a seperate folder, you can go through this folder periodically to check for good messages.
