  1. It's a different head, more rounded.
  2. The easy way out would be LC 's peanut Butter color and some purple flake
  3. I think it's to keep it from rolling, not to dive!

    FLW Magazine

I think they had two, red linked to the article a while back, and the second was a picture spread.
  5. Do a search, someone just recently had a discussion on these things, and if I'm not mistaken, hagens was the distributor (no direct sales), might be wrong, though.
  6. I've never checked the local stores, I use possibly a tube or two a year, just irks me I want to buy some, and it's not there
  7. Can't seem to find this stuff anywhere but Wal-Mart, and they're out, tried Home Depot and Lowe's, no such luck. Does anyone else carry it? Does Envirotex come from Home Depot, and is it as strong as Devcon?
  8. I think someone mentioned that Collins makes two part molds with handles and hinges, that would be the way to do it!
  9. I have to put my cheap toaster oven's temp on 250-275 for a true 350
  10. You have an existing buzzbait, I assume? bend the wire straight on the end of the shaft, take the rivet, any beads and the old blade off, slide a new one on, then the rivet, and bend the tip back down. If the blade is so large that it will hit the head, not a bad thing, unless it won't spin freely, then nail two nails in a board, and rebend it to fit. Be careful though, might break the wire if you bend too far/much.
  11. You might have had it too hot, you checked your oven with a thermometer? I've not had one yet that was accurate!
  12. I could see a reducing coupling, but wouldn't it be easier to get multiple cups? More expensive, granted, but easier, unless I don't understand the question.
  13. I would look for a clear(er) color scent, I used to have some of the Yum, and it was green, even stained the baits! If you want to scent baits in the bag, try the concentrated stuff like the Lurecraft scents, a drop or three will funk up a whole bag of baits.
  14. For what purpose is the oil? The Yum stuff, at least the stuff I have seen, is colored, and would stain your baits if they are light colored.
  15. Not sure which way you're talking about, horizontal or vertical, but you're gonna have a flat side if you make a one piece mold. The fact that it's a senko might keep it down, don't know how heavy it is compared to RTV. I mention vertical because Lurecraft has a mold that appears to be a vertical fulyl round senko, one at the time, although I've heard it's not very fun to demold the completed bait.

    Repaint

I thought I'd pull a Bobby and upload a WW Seriously...Kid in my club was selling his beat up cranks early this year at our meeting. I bought this one, refurbished it, and gonna give it back to him tomorrow Kinda screwed it's eye up, I don't like to use stencils, but I suppose you can't help it sometimes.
  17. Looks nice, shame you couldn't fill in the extra slots with a chunk or something
  18. Maybe I need to go get some more, check it out, I hated the old stuff
  19. I think the harder the lead, the worse it gets clogged. As far as prevention, I would think that the purest, softest lead that you can get would be your best bet. The spout will clog from time to time, I keep a SB frame next to it, and just run it around the inside of the spout from time to time. Not sure about the wax, but I've read that one the site as well, you could search for it, see what it helps, specifically.
  20. First, be careful! Wear eye protection, gloves, long sleeves, etc. Second, it's possible that the spout is clogged, while it's cool, run a wire in there to try to clean it out, I use a SB frame, but anything will do. Then, once the pot is hot, and the lead melted, I'll clean it out again, in the same fashion. This normally clears any problems I have with my spout, providing the lead is melting, and the rod lifts like it should.

    Balsa

Caught a ton of fish on these today, my 5 year old boy favors the flat one, caught his largest bass to date, a nice 3 pounder on it, so I suppose I did something right

    Balsa

balsa baits, lurecraft and jann's bodies, they're all screwed up, even the paint! This is definately a skill that takes some practice, and I have lots more respect for the guys that make it look easy, and even moe for BobP, for answering question after question after question (after question). Crap, I didn't even carve it!
