  1. Have a good one man, I think I'll go fishing in a bit in your honor
  2. Ah, thought this was plastics only, but I've got 4 Do-It molds, and 6 or 7 of Shawn's
  3. I use 3 in 1, just a drop, or it'll end up in the cavities
  4. I just did, and for a quart, they're almost half price, thanks!
  5. Husky - from what i've read, the Alumilite doesn't float without the balloons. Speaking of those, I have some I got from both alumilite and Lurecraft, they look to be the same, anyone know if they are? I can get stuff shipped a lot cheaper from LC!
  6. I'm currently working with Alumilite, well, working is a strong word, more like looking at! Once I get it in gear, and actually use the stuff, I'll let you know how this goes
  7. Raising the temp of something to 350* in two to three minutes isn't fast enough for you?
  8. Depends on the effect you want on the plastic bodies, i sand them all with some 800 grit, then go to painting. No primer, or white coat will make them more translucent, and be carful with the e-tex, i've never used it, but have cleared some baits with D2T, and killed the action of them due to the extra weight (wee and pee wee warts), not sure what the Centari is. I use two coats of Dick Nite Lurecoat
  9. Well, you could buy a color wheel for about the cost of a bottle of color, not including shipping, though! I know there are some sites on the net that will offer this, do a google search
  10. You buy them in named colors
  11. Talk to Shawn, www.shawncollinscustoms.com
  12. 1/4" = 6.35mm, that's right in the middle of yout 6 and 7, is that not close enough? 7/16 is the closest to 11mm. I think I've seen some eyes sold on eBay in mm, might check there
  13. I wouldn't bother with a call at his point, if they do it to everyone, they'll eventually lose all kinds of business, and if it's not fixed after your initial call, they can sit around wondering why!
  14. He was saying it's lighter than water, where the other stuff isn't, which would make the lure try to float from the lip, if I understood correctly. Best thing to do would be try! I've got a kit for this stuff on the way, gonna play with it some, but not the clear.
  15. Couldn't you 'backyard engineer' this with one of the alumilite kits, copying an existing crank?
  16. It would be easier to make a new mount for the pot

    Panfish

Practicing my bluegill and perch on some jann's blanks, can't wait until I can get them on a homemade crank!
  18. I'm working on that next, along with a Striper, I'll let you know soon, hopefully (Trying to do all the local fish, well, most of them) Gonna put some in the gallery now, I suppose.
  19. I'd say pour, then go straight to the lake, they harden up a little overnight.
  20. The way the paint comes off my LC's, I'd rather not use that stuff!! I'm assuming it's some sort of solvent that possibly 'melts' the plastic?
  21. I think if it's not what you want, you should forgetaboutit Stamina sells a similar one This guy does too, but cant get him to answer the phone or emails
  22. here is a place to get ideas
  23. Thanks! It'll take a long time to wear out, don't much care for the worm, but at 1/4" per hole, I can do quite a few
  24. Not sure where to post this question, but here goes: I want to pour lead in a LC mold, not in the mold itself, i've drilled a hole in it, and want to use it to make crankbait belly lips, will pouring lead in one of these molds work?
