I did go back and read, nowhere do you mention that this part is a special order part. Your post makes it seem that it's a regular part, one that you normally stock by the explanation that you normally use Barlow's for low stock stuff. This is further clouded by you mentioning that you use Barlow's all the time, then mentioning that you normally use Jann's, just Barlow's when your stock is low. Get your story straight. Once again, back to your original post, you use Barlow's (or was it Jann's) all the time, you should be familiar with their practices by now, and this should not be a surprise. Yes, it is my opinion, you got that, and my name right! However, take a look at your wording, sure sound like to me, and many others in this thread that you are 'Barlow's Hating'. But that's ok, run along to Jann's, but please, be sure to let us know once they run low on something and it breaks a promise you made, and how you normally use Stamina or something. Funny thing about my opinion, I bet if it were in line with yours, it would be welcome, but you happened to post it to a public board, and you get all types there.

You're openly bashing a company that you state you have ordered from before, so once again, is it Barlow's fault that they didn't suddenly have inventory tracking when they, or you, didn't have something in stock? Take your petty complaints elsewhere, like to Barlow's, save us from your whining, bashing, and complaining when this is all your fault, as you've already said you've ordered from them before, and you ran out of stock. This site is supposed to be an outlet to share information, not your own ignorance.

I agree if you are selling normal baits at a decent price on your own website, but how many of the guys scoping out the cheap baits over at eBay ever come back and buy a few bags at retail? That's right, none of them, because they can just hop back on eBay and get another bag of 50 for next to nothing. That's just what type of customer they are.

Lemme rephrase that They use all the caps, from every color, melt them all into doo do brown, I suppose, and sell that as a stick, which is generally harder than the rest, due to the settled salt and such. It's not the same amount of care taken to make sure the sticks are consistant like the original pours.

I agree, someone's lack of planning isn't cause to come on here and hammer someone, it's just childish, and most folks should question the motive of the complainer, and remember that if they need to deal with that person in the future. I've read threads to this effect against Del, Barlow's, Stamina, Shawn Collins, Lurecraft, etc, etc. I've gotten fair service from all of them, great service from some, and one has dropped the ball on me. I'm not telling though, if you look into the whole story, it's just as much my fault. Some guys are gonna run out of folks to complain about before long, then what? Most of them should be thanked for offering the little guy an outlet to acquire this stuff.

I know that some of these guys, even heard a few admit it, are selling caps, or what they cut off their sticks, remelted into whatever color, on eBay for prices like that. If you're looking to buy, be careful as to what you get, if you're looking to resell, well, be careful on that too!

You need to find the root of your problem, though... If it's too hot because you're heating it too long, lower heat time, too hot due to reheats because you only have a few molds - cook less of it, etc.

Terry, LooksLikeSinbad had a patent question recently, his plight was a little different, but the overall board advice to him was to be careful, and contact a patent attorney, you guys might be able to compare notes, split costs, etc, and actually be informed as opposed to guessing! Good luck with it.

Heat setting is for water based paints, the laquer thinner is for laquer based paints, lots of info here pertaining to TWO paint systems.

What sort of unit do you have? A buddy of mine got that card for his Lowrance, and I have the Fishing Hot Spots Elite, and I like mien better, he's indifferent. If it's a Lowrance unit, you can sort of 'test drive' some of the maps if you look under their maps page, they offer free maps for different lakes, including 3 for Alabama, Click Here The lakes with the red star have the most detail, and are most like the Navionics maps, some are even the same.

I don't think anyone meant to discourage you, I didn't. Just wanted you to think before you dropped any money into something that will potentially be a waste in the long run. I think your best bet is to speak to a patent attorney, get real advice, not internet advice, and go from there. In the entire process, keep your ideas, drawings, photos, etc to yourself, and base your actions on his advice, and your outlook on the fishing industry.

I don't know the correct term, but when I first started pouring lead, I got a pair of these from Barlow's, they had black handles, can't remember the brand or anything. I lost them when I moved last year, so I added a pair to my order when I picked up some stuff from Kim, and damn these things are nice! They've got orange(ish) handles, and are made by Xcelite. I get cleaner cuts with them too, a lot cleaner. I do know that Barlow's carries a range of stuff, from cheap-ass to their German made tools, and I really do not know, or remember which model I bought, but these from Kim are really nice. What have you guys bought that's really helped? I find myself only making one cut with these new pliers, the others I cut long ways, then again cross ways to get the cut clean enough for me.
