I went to lowes and home depot and they only carry one color of the crackle paint. I then went to Michaels craft store and they had 3 other colors. I painted a couple last night and will take some pics to show how they came out.

I modified mine to take those hooks and it works great. Use a small rotory bit and cut in a little at a time and intall the hooks to see if it will close. It took me about 30 min to do all the holes.

your using the wrong size weedguards if you have to hold them in place. They should fit tight in the hole and the epoxy to keep them there. No special tools should be needed.

I have a jig that I want to me made into a production mold can someone make a mold for me, or at least point me in the right direction of someone who can. Thanks Daniel

I find it so hard to powder paint these so I airbrush all of mine and they look great. I use a one part epoxy as a top coat and it shines great with a very durable finish. Hope this helps

I make alot of spinnerbaits and am trying to start spraying more and was wondering what is a good top coat for these that can be sprayed on.

The problem with not having any hooks is they shut their plant down and moved to china. They did not build up a inventory before doing so. Shortys will be getting some in the end of april.

I found that using wheel weight is a major problem with spinnerbait heads. You really need soft lead, also if your hooks are cold when you pour the lead will harden as soon as it hits it and cause the same problem. I heat all my hooks and wires on a hot plate and then pour them. I dont have any issues any longer.
