  1. Cool...Hows the bass fishing in Korea?
  2. Nice... I tied a few the other day with marabou and some with arctic fox. If I can catch any fish on them then I'll post some pics.
  3. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for powder painting pony head jigs... AKA "Road Runners" The only thing I have come up with is after preheating the jig, putting a tube of some sorts (I am thinking small chunk of small metal tubing) over the swivel, dunking the jig in the fluid bed and then just remove the tube. Or just preheat, dunk in paint and then clean out swivel before curing.
  4. I run 4's... sometimes 6's on my crawler rigs.
  5. I leave about 1-2 inches of lead in the bottom of my 10 lb LEE pot and it takes about 10-15 minutes (on 7 or 8 ) to liquefy the lead. These pots are very nice, 100 times safer, and 100 times faster than the old way I used to do it.... heat pot of lead, usually weighing 10 lbs or so, and try and pour into the mold without spilling/overfilling and burning the crap out of myself.
  6. http://mschaefer.homestead.com/fishonsong.html A friend of mine sent me this last year before I went to Alaska.
  7. When you sprinkle the paint on, what type of container do you have the paint in? Salt shaker? Flour sifter? I was wondering how to get multi colored paint jobs.... now it makes sence
  8. Barlow's has the Do-it swivels for $6.95 per 100 (62.55 per 1000) I poured 50 or so the other night and they all seem to turn just fine.
  9. Thanks guys, I have a toaster oven already that I use for baking the jigs after they've been painted.... never thought to use it for pre-heating too. If it doesn't work for me then I'll try the heat gun. Thanks again
  10. 13 strands of .026 diameter material ...... on a 3/8 oz jigs
  11. I am needing recommendations on what size, wattage and/or temp range, of a heat gun I should get for pre-heating jigs before powder painting? I am currently using a propane torch but find that as much as one third are turning out to be "mutants." When I have tried less pre-heat time, the paint doesn't cover very well, more time and I end up melting to many of the jig heads. Sizes 1/32 oz to 3/4 oz mainly... if that matters. Thanks
  12. Yep.... thats the video I was talking about
  13. He bought them online. I saw the video that was talking them up but don't remember the name. I'll ask him again, it'll be a few days, he's out of town.
