Thanks guys,
Matt as I build up the epoxy coats on the lures it slowly gets covered. The epoxy kinda whicks itself under the wire. As the wheel spins it evens out.

It is an inline hardbody bait with the fishing line passing through. Spinner on the front and the hooks on the back half. It slides up and down the line. You put a nightcrawler on the back half. I got a nice 10.3 pound walleye on 9-11-2010 on it along with 3 other nice ones over 6.75 pounds.
Can someone give me the name or brand of a very high quality split ring. I have a good source for the musky lures but I want something super strong for the walleye / bass baits. I really like the split rings on the rapala's F-18's (like a black/nickel). I am looking for sizes in the 1/8" - 1/4" dia.
Many thanks ahead of time!

Lake Erie night time fall walleye bite. Left to right sizes. 10.3 lbs........ 11.6 lbs............10.62 lbs. The two ten pounders were caught on my homemade baits. The big one on a husky jerk. I am on the left in the picture.
Tight lines!

I played around with some walleye baits for Lake Erie for the summer time. I am hoping to run them on wire line in August with the fish go deep. To be fished 60 feet down that time of year.
Resin bodies . Arched back gives them a nice wobble with a hunting action.

7" Rainbow Trout glider. 4oz. slow sinking. Hand painted glass eyes.
I love doing the trout.
I added some glitter to one of the clear coats. I wasn't sure how that would look with the natural paint scheme. I kinda like the sparkle it gave the bait.

8" Maple musky lure. It is in a Largemouth bass pattern. Metal sides and glass eyes. 8.8 oz. Slow sinking.
I had luremaking burn-out. I am coming out of it now and ready to climb back into the saddle again. I hope everyone is doing well and having a great Spring!
I just can't get into the musky mode this year. I have been chasing the walleyes around like crazy! Tight lines everyone! Man there have been some incredible lures made lately by you guys!
