    Ten inch gliders

    Man that is nice Jed!!!!!!!!!
  5. I use it to repair "chunk outs" from running the router. I will also use it to fill my weight plug holes. You can use "spot filler" from an auto body place to fill smaller knots and pin holes in the wood. This comes out of a tube and needs no hardner. Butt.............. let it dry real good over night and make sure it is hard before sanding it. John

    8" carp crankbait

Heck no Rofish! I love to fish them. I have trouble doing the firetigers and other types of patterns. I just figure if the fish eat other fish why not make them look like the feed. The collectors like to get ahold of them for the wall. I wish more of them would hit the water. I try to make all of them as running baits first and then paint the pattern. John

    8" Sucker crankbait

This is a solid resin bodied crankbait in a sucker pattern. It has a double layer of scales that is hard to see in the photo. A nice shifty wobble that runs in a mid-depth range. Lots of metalic paints on this one. John

    8" carp crankbait

Thanks guys, I do find it relaxing to do the lures. I can go into my room in the basement and get away from the stresses of everyday life for a while. I think you learn a little more with each lure you do. I have learned so much from the people here on this site. Believe me I have boxes of mistakes ready for the burn pile! I do love doing the fades for sure. But better yet the hobby store likes them more with all the paint I waste. I called testors paint company and asked if they sell paint other than in those little bottles. They said only in five gallon buckets. I will stay with my little bottles!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Stop it Rookie! LOL You know I am going to get down there and have you really show me how to paint!!!!! John

    4" flat shad

Thanks everyone for the kind words The eyes are from Vandykes. They are fish mount eyes. You can buy the clear one or pre-painted ones also. I know it is overkill but I find it relaxing and fun to do. John

  16. Hey everyone, This is a 4-1/2" cedar bodied bait. A little higher profile and smaller lip up front. Runs nice in the top 6 feet of water. It swims more than it wobbles. I hope to get some musky teeth marks on it this fall after turn-over. I am finding out that cedar does have some special qualities to the actions of the baits. I also love the smell of it! John

    4" flat shad

Hey everyone, this is a little 4" shad body. Silver sides faded up into golds. A fun one to do. Played with making it out of resin type product. Hope to fish with it this weekend for some Lake Erie walleyes out of the Huron on the Lake. I can't to really try it on the downtown Cleveland fall night walleye bite in late November! John

    Foiled swimbait

What a great lure!!!! Very nice!
  21. Thanks Guys. This is one of the few lures I wished I would have kept! Boomah.......... I have tried many things under the foil. I have tried fine mesh landing net mesh. These dang things take so much epoxy to get back to smooth. I have to put 3 coats on the lure before I can paint any of the head details. Alot of work but seems worth it in the end. Thanks Snaxs........... Your swimbaits have been looking great. Keep up the good work. John
  22. 8" silver foil crankbait. Has and echo chamber in the center that is epoxied. It sounds like a baby rattle. John
