    salt???

How much coffee grinded table salt should I put into 4 oz of soft plastic just to toughen it up a bit? Thanks for any help.
  3. Is acrylic just a resin and catalyst? Can it bought somewhere?
  4. Is there anything out there that I can make clear hard molds with. Like some of the ones netcraft sells. They look like lexan. It sure would be nice to be able to see how well the pour is forming with 2 part molds. If the pour is starting out bad a person to abort the pour and start over. It would also make it easier to make multiple color pours and make baits with a soft tail plastic and a saltwater plastic for the head portion such as mann's hard nose baits. Any ideas fellow pourers. Thanks for any input..

    Glitter?????

How much glitter do you add to 1 cup of plastic. Thanks in advance for any replies.
  6. I'm pouring 3" to 5" curly tails and 3" to 4" shad bodies. All are 2 pc. molds. Thanks again for the replies.
  7. No I don't leave the frame on the molds. I think leaving the frames on would make them to bulky. I keep using the frames over and over providing they are the correct size for what i'm making. I've started using epoxy to glue 1/8" thick plexy glass to the molds that I want to protect.
  8. About how hot should the plastic be before starting to pour. On average how hot does plastic get before it starts to scorch? Thanks for any replies.
  9. That's another reason I like making a 3/4" thick wood frame for my pop molds. It's a simple matter of inserting a butter knife or flat tip screwdriver between the two wood frames and seperating the two halves without damaging the edges of the mold itself.
  10. I find that I get a lot more bubbles when mixing durhams vs pop. No matter how I stir or with what I stir.
  11. Iwould think it would work. Try one and see. I would think that food coloring wood work also on pork chunks, but not as many colors available.
  12. Thanks for the replies. I read that you can mix the durhams with vinegar and water or milk and water to retard the setup time. Has anyone tried this and did it retard the setup time?
  13. What do you pourers use to mix up Durhams. I've read that it sets up quick. How does it compare to POP if both are mixed to the same consistency? Thanks for all replies in advance.
