    2 nice failures

Hi Rofish, nice lures, my guess is that the action you described may work for pikes in shallow waters

    small lure

I love the color , brought me good results at chub fishing , don't know if the red feather on the back hook it's a good idea but the pattern is awesome
  3. you should post them at the trophy room

    Pointers

I like the pink over blue spots and also the color shading , nice job
  5. this one looks very interesting, too bad the paint details are not so clear because of the photo quality . There are copper spots on the belly?

    Yellow Perch

awesome work, incredible details . It looks more like a zander , anyway I love it , 5 stars from me

    Perfect Asp Lure

diemai, send me a PM with an e-mail address for sending you a picture with the perfect asp lure , similar to these ones but more compact

    New swimbait

very good carving and paint details , love them , think the pikes will smash them out of the box One question, do I see carved scales too ? how did you managed to obtain them ?
  9. thanks guys, I'll give it a shot with rounding the edges first although I kinda liked the SF aspect
  10. OK, maybe I'll go rounding epoxy method , the problem will be if the second layer will level up with the first from the rest of the body or I'll end up with a donut lookalike lure
  11. after all the "think slim" idea brought some results along with the head shape and the tow point, very good, love to see a fellow lurebuilder managing to solve the "death" of a lure
  12. I've read some weeks ago (sorry didn't payed attention) that someone managed to solve the problem of epoxy running from the 90 degrees angles , I have a particular lure that I'm not interested in rounding the front edges and I need some advice for devcon2ton to cover those angles. Maybe somehow a second topcoat only on those areas ? Thanks
  13. interesting things said by Diemai too, I was looking at that tow eye that is way up high on the nose
  14. I'll take a guess on this one , maybe it is too much weight on the second piece , you should try to take from there and put in front. Still the problem may be from the hook placed at the back of the lure that adds to much weight and stops the movement , if you cut from the weight placed on the second piece you may have a chance that the lure starts the S movement from there. Another way to solve this is "think slim" maybe your lure is too fat there was a post some weeks ago about swimbaits , I'll give it a search

    Two New 7" Clone Patterns

I like them , very realistic, but I still think you should have placed some 3D eyes (personal opinion)

    Bette Davis Eyes

indeed a piece of work , the trouble must be at the first joint , it seems the pieces are very close worst case scenario, place a lip , if the tail does not work

    3 cm sinking

good lure , love the blue pattern:wink:

    Lure stamp

than why not signing directly on the lure with a permanent marker (devcon won't ruin it) , the stamp was for applying the same signature fast on a bunch of lures

    Lure stamp

hm, tricky question, I've only used an universal fluorescent marker ( not permanent , it is washable) just rubbed it on the stamp and tested on a piece of paper , my guess is that it will work with stamping ink too. I use RTV for 2 part mold ( not so elastic as mold max 30 from smooth-on)

    Lure stamp

tried the wood and this morning got the result, it was partially ok since I've poured a very thin layer of silicone, that made me thinking , bees wax and soap were my alternatives
