That is what I thought!!! I wasn't paying those prices. SO... I bought me some fly tying lead wire, and use it on my 5/0 hooks. No way was I paying that. I weight my own hooks and I can make them any weight I want!

Thanks for the info Bruce. I am not good with wire baits. I did check Stamina out but I don't have any wire bait tools either. I am hoping someone on here can make them for me. Maybe even work out a trade for some of my custom soft plastics???? www.sinkobaits.com Thanks for the reply.

Looking for these (see pic). They were custom made by a guy who is out of business due to health reasons. I don't know squat about these but a friend wants some. Don't need the skirts on them or the heads painted, just the basic forms. Any of you custom S/B builders make them? Thanks...

SAINT.. Walmart has them for a little over $20. Home depot has all the rest of the items. I have 15 pouring pots and all the vavles are the same 1/4". The trick is to buy the reducer nozzle so you get a thinner stream. I have the nozzles down to 1/16" for very thin streams BUT, it clogs easy with salt. I use the 1/16 for non salted baits only and the 1/8" 90% of the time. For sticks, I use the 1/4" nozzle. Not sure if Ozark has interchangeable nozzles on their models. They are simple to make. They hold the heat perfect. And you can even mount an automatic stirrer on them if you want. I use a router with a paint stirrer and I also have a mixer to mount. ONE THING... you have to use a router control to slow the speed down. Harbor freight has them for around $10. My pots save me a ton of work and I can really produce quantity with them. Hope this helps you out some.

Pouring stations are set up for convience. I have designed mine with 4" X 4' shelves for my colorant dyes and flake containers right above my work table. My work table is 24" by 8' long and I put a formica top on it for easy clean up. I have 3 microwaves mounted on the walls. I then have a 24" X 6' cooling table where I remove the baits from molds. I have 4 shelves above the cooling table to store the baits on cookie sheets over night. On another wall, I have a 24" X 6' packaging /shipping table where I keep all my plastic bags, and items to ship out my baits. I keep my plastic in 1 gallon jugs under the main pouring table, which I transfer from 5 gallons containers which I fill from 55 gallon drums. I keep 1 gallon containers with premixed colors in my most popular colors under the table on a shelf. For other colors I mix as needed. I keep my pouring pots on a high shelf ( I have a 10' ceiling in my shop ) out of the way. I keep my molds on a shelf out of the way and bring what molds I need to the pouring table as needed. My pyrex cups are also kept on a shelf just to the side of the pouring area. I have a paper towel rack near the pouring area...THIS IS A MUST! I have 4 - 4' flouresant shop lights to light up the shop. My entire shop is heated and is 10' wide by 14' long and is dedicated to just pouring baits. Below all the tables in my shop are shelves for misc items. I also have filing cabinets that contain all my recpies, customers past orders, and other info etc. I keep my recipes on a 3X5 card and a computer disc. You have to design your pouring station to meet your needs. What works for one.....don't always work for another. The most important thing at your station is VENTILATION! I have a dedicated squirrel cage fan with a 12"X12" hood directly over the pouring area. It is vented outside with 8" aluminum ducting. A good bathroom exhaust fan will work also but don't skimp on a cheap one and make sure it is vented outside. Good luck designing your own pouring area.

YES... That time to pour did not include prep time. As for my stirrer, it WORKS great. I use an old router with a paint mixer blade and mounted it to a stand on top of my pouring pots. I also use a router speed control to keep it slow mixing. That is where the $28 comes from. I had the router but the speed control costs $28. Every now and then I have to use a wooden spoon a swipe the sides of the pot tho just to insure all the salt and flakes are not clinging to the sides. It works for me. It goes fast and I can control the heat to a very close 300 degrees.

I use pouring pots and have 10, 5" stick molds... It goes FAST. My wife does the cutting and bagging, too.

I am located in NE Pa by Lake Wallenpaupak. Check out my website and online store. www.sinkobaits.com -
Actually... it depends on the effect you want. I usually use 1/4 tsp for all my baits weather they are a combination of flakes or not ie: 1/8 red - 1/8 black = 1/4 tsp BUT in Junebug I use 3/4 green so it all depends on your bait and what you want to achieve. YES... write everything down! How else are you going to remember what you did?

This is pretty close: all M-F products 4 oz. SS plastisol 6 drops indigo 2 drops red 1 drop black 3/4 tsp .025 green flake

HEY SAINT... OPPPs I signed in under my SINKO BAITS NAME. I am also Harley-Cowboy... ANYWAY, YES, I will take some pictures of my set up. It is soooo EASY you will be surprised. If you'd like, email me and I will send the pix instead of posting them. If you need more info, I will give you my tele# and you can call me about making the pot. I make my plastics a gallon at a time. I have huge orders tho and it makes 500 baits per gallon. I USUALLY DO NOT use salt in the pots. When I have small orders for a bait with salt, I open the ball valve all the way and let the plastic go into a Pyrex cup and then add the salt my customers want and then pour. IF ANYONE, has questions on my pot making... feel free to email me at: sinko@sinkobaits.com. I will help you all I can.
