    EPOXY WILL HOLD THE SCREW EYES! I caught Grouper with my swimbaits in the OCEAN and they hold up.. 60 feet down on a down riggers.. 25 pound plus grouper.. You freakin line will break before the screw eye will come out.. if you dont believe me tie it up to the bumper of your pickup truck with 50 pound line and then tie other end to your screw eye... have your wife drive off while you hold on for your life and see if your line will break or the screw eye will come out.. if your up for a new extreme sport.. wear a pair of roller skates.. and have her do figure 8's in the driveway... WOOHOO!!!! Most guys do the OVER KILL POST and SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU ON THIS SUBJECT! ITS ALL OVER KILL!!! AND ANYBODY THAT SAYS ANY DIFFERENT CAN ASK MY WIFE HOW LONG I HELD ON TO THAT LURE LAST YEAR BEFORE THE LINE BROKE! ITS A HOMEMADE BAIT SPARKY... now glue your screw eyes in and GO FISH!     Great looking baits! Post a video I want to see how they swim if you dont mind.. Do they all slow sink and is it possible to make it float or do they have to sink in order to swim ..just curious.. Im thinking they need the water all around them to work.. I wanted to try it too but never go around to doing it. Outstanding work as always. The Rookie

    Lacquer Thinner... I get some glass Mason canning jars out and dump some Lacquer Thinner in the Glass Jar. You can put the lid on it after you done and save the Lacquer for next week...plus you kill the smell... Then I put the tip and the needle in the jar and pour some lacquer in the paint cup on the gun and let it drip out slowly into the jar.. I wipe off the needle with a paper towel and put the tip back in the gun.. then I put the needle back in and slowly let the lacquer to continue to drip out while I move the needle back and forth with my hand.. you will see alot of paint junk come out of the gun even when you thought it was clean if you use water base paint. Soon the drip will start to really flow out and you know your tip is good and clean along with your gun. I also get a small brush and clean out the cup and wipe it out with chemical wipes.. I dont care how much you clean it during the day or between colors with water, windex, alcohol etc.... small amounts dry up in the gun as days and weeks go by and over time cause problems. Might not be a problem for others that dont use water base paints but it is for me.. I do this once a week or before Im about about ready to lay some paint on a bunch of lures at one time. I also oil my needle and moving parts once or 2 twice per month. A happy gun is a clean gun. I dont recommend soaking your gun over night in Lacquer thinner because you have some rubber seals that it might hurt or damage over time..and nobody like to blow a seal...ask anyone... It does a great job bringing a difficult gun back to life or like Brand NEW again! Good Luck The Rookie

    It turns yellow... Its great if you just want to clear a bait on monday and go fishing on weds... but if you want it to last and stay clear over time... dont use epoxy to clear coat you baits... unless you dont mind the yellow tint! Some guys like it! The Rookie

Just a tip and not trying to be critical or anything.. but if your trying to sell these on ebay just paint natural color patterns.. personally I love bright colors and do quite well fishing bright colors.. but it seems like the ebay market tends to want natural patterns that actually camo your bait.. Kinda funny how God gave these little bait fish natural camo to protect them from predators and yet everyone wants you to match the SO CALLED HATCH!!! WHICH IS THE MOST OVERRATED SAYING IN FISHING!! I SAY BITE ME TO ANYONE THAT IS AGAINST ME!! IF YOU TRUELY WANT TO MATCH THE HATCH!! GO FISH LIVE SHAD, MINNOWS AND WORMS... THAT ANIT HD!!! THATS REAL D! I HAVE YET TO SEE A PURPLE WORM IN MY LIFE YET EVERYONE CATCHS FISH ON THEM! RED CAJUN LINE INVISIBLE.... YET RED THROAT IS REACTION STRIKE CAUSER!! BLAH BLAH BLAH! DOC Says get the H1N1 SHOT...     I know rofish.. in no means was trying to put down your verison in anyway with my comments and I hope I didnt offend you with them because that was not my purpose. I was only expressing how much I look up to Pete's work too! I think if we had a vote on who is our favorite TU member was by all members... not that we need to do this sort of thing.. but if we did Im willing to bet Pete would be at the top of list as the most respected. Im sure Pete will be the first to say great job too and even help you copy them. He is that great a person! The Rookie

    I have been having all kinds of back problems the past 3 weeks so all I can do is sit in a chair. Decided to carve a new bait design out since I could do that while sitting and this is what I came up with. Back is feeling better this week so I painted her up and NAMED IT "BUSTER GILL" Swims great in the test tank! Cant wait for my back to get better so I can go fishing and test it out on the water to see how the big boys like it! The Rookie
