  1. I spary the swimbaits with clear coat in a Automotive Spary gun... 1.2mm TIP! Easier that way.. Just hang the baits from head to tail... 1 light flash coat... wait for it tack up.. then add 2nd coat! Walla.... Your done.. NO RUNS DRIPS OR ERRORS!!!! THANKS JOHNNY BENCH!!!! THE ROOKIE
  2. THIN PAINT 20 PSI KINDA THIN PAINT 25 PSI KINDA STARTIN TO GET THICK PAINT 45 PSI OH MY GOSH I LEFT THE LID OFF LAST NIGHT PAINT 65 PSI OH CRAP BATMAN THIS STUFF IS THICK PAINT!! 95 PSI Paintin with Tater.. Glad I helped out!
  3. It wasnt a lucky craft knock off. you buy at Janns.. plus I would never sell it as the real thing because after Im done with it.. it will look nothing like the real thing.. the lip will be at a different angle.. it will be solid plastic.. Circut board lips.. you will be able to look at it and say its not the real thing right off the bat.. I just thought it was funny.. to knock off a knock off.. Copying a copy.. To make the copy better! Kinda funny if you think about it..
  4. I knocked off a knock off.. because the knock off plastic was JUNK!! anyway I love my new knockoff knockoff mold.. Now I can use my own materials and put custom lips in it to make it have different actions and depths. Yeah I could have carved another design but Im tried!! Wearing out.. plus I had extra RTV mixed up and didnt want it to go to waste so I grab a knock off and molded it!!.. so I guess I cheated a bit.. BUT THIS IS THE UNDERGROUND RIGHT!!! Were are suppose to walk on the wild side.. So I figure nobody will sue me if you knock off a knock off!!! The Rookie
  5. I like my hooks NAKED!! as most guys do that buy hooks!

All the ones you post are outstanding Barry!!! But I like this one the best.. and nobody has said anything about it.. Cool pattern... The Rookie
  7. Jerk 2008..... "THE NEW SEARCH ENGINES HERE!! THE NEW SEARCH ENGINES HERE... ok its not the same bumber!!! This computer is heavy!!!" The can line is my fav too David!!
  8. Ok I have a stupid question.. why would you want a CNC machine if you could use the other kind and not do any fancy programming.... Just curious.. The Rookie
  9. I had a balsa lure I did where I took a socket wrench and rolled the diamond grid handle of the wrench over the wood.. it work kinda good... I guess. It wasnt perfect by any means.. but go look at fish scales they really dont look like perfect diamond grids.. actually scales are ROUND!!! ... kinda like this old saying my math teacher in 7th grade said..." PIE R SQUARE!!" .... what?? pie aren't square!!!.. cornbread is square... PIE IS ROUND!!!! The Rookie
  10. McDonald Straw... its free.. and you can paint some mean splatter patterns!!!
  11. I thought a jerk bait was a white lure that was raised as a black lure by a black jerk bait family.. all the time thinking he was a black lure.. then later in life.. this little jerk finds out he is really white and invents a funky eye glass holder that makes the world cross eyed!! Who cares what it is as long as it catches fish! The Rookie
  12. OH MY GOSH!!!!! IM SPEECHLESS!!!
  13. Great Work!!! Whittler!!! Outstanding Craftsmanship and paint job!!!
  14. I used bottom feed for 1 year!!! Then I finally purchased a gravity feed.... I wish all my guns were gravity.. Im slowly replacing them as money comes in.. Bottom feed is not that bad of purchase if you get a good deal on a good gun.. but in the long run..Gravity is the ticket! I agree with the rest of these guys! The Rookie
  15. LOL!!! I didnt say I would do it.. I just said its possible...Heck I got 300 megabass lures that IM TRYING TO SELL!!! Last thing I need is more!!! As for the paint patterns on the lures.. Bob is right.. Some of those lure patterns are impossible to copy.. I was talking about the acutally lure itself.. not the paint!!! Megabass does some neat stuff.. The only problem is... most fisherman want simple realistic patterns.. So some of their best work goes unnoticed.. Just my opinion.. The Rookie
  16. Hey Stone!!! LOOKIN GOOD!!!! Now all you got to do is add props to it!!!! Then I will know its your crankbait!!!! IF you dont I will think someone Hijacked your account and this is NOT THE REAL STONE COLD WE KNOW!!!! THE ROOKIE
  17. Soda Blastin!!!! Wow Thanks Blackjack!! I will have to try it out!!!
  18. You can find them on other Lucky Craft Lures!!!! That is where I get my extra lucky craft eyes.. I take them off other lures. then I put custom eyes on the lucky craft lures I striped.. But its hard to find the eyes your lookin for... and if you do find them.. they cost about 8 bucks for 8 sets of eyes...
  19. Vince.... the gil plate... I LOVE THE GILL PLATE..... I never thought about trying that trick on the gill plate!!!! But personally..and I mean this from the bottom of my heart!!! I think the lure sucks so much you should send it to me so nobody will ever see it again!!! I mean really vince... I dont want to hurt your feelings but I think that lure should go in my box... out of sight from all the critics on TU.. You dont need bad reviews... Let me take it off your hands... Save you alot of trouble and sorrow! The Rookie..
  20. you can copy it... its possible... the lure is possible to copy...
  21. Nice work Gator.. Your baits still arent done because my eyes have been all red and burning.. I have a bad rash and the doc said to take a few weeks off from painting so they can clear up and wear eye protection after it does... Sorry Im taking so long.. looks like you could paint them now.. your baits are lookin good.. The Rookie
  22. Simply Green...... 2 to 4 weeks... Good luck!!! I heard motor oil will do it too and not hurt plastic.. but I have tried..... Finger nail polish... DOESNT WORK!!! you will hurt your lure.. it will take the paint off but the detail is SHOT!!! Rubbing Alcohol... The lip will crack or break off later.. it takes moisture out of the plastic.. dont know if plastic has moisture in it because Im not a chemist.. but it drys out the plastic so much it makes it weak and it will break!!!! I put a lure in my wifes jewlery cleaner once... Thought the sonic vibs would stripe the paint... That didnt work!!! but hey I give myself a A for effort... Then I found a hobby post online that said to use simply green to take paint off a model car.. it will not hurt the plastic.. The only down fall is you have to wait 2 to 4 weeks... I striped a vision 110 once with the simple green trick... mainly because the sucker sunk right out of the package.. it was a Mat Crackleback finish.. and Megabass had way too much paint on it.. so I knew I couldnt just scuff and paint it..... It already was screwed up.. so I soaked it for 3 long weeks in Simply Green and the paint came off by taking my finger nails too it... Its still a pain in the butt.. but it worked.. Sorry I dont have a super fast and super quick way to help you out.. Just keep checking it every week or so and see how its working out for you.. the good news is.. if is doesnt work it will not hurt your plastic or your bait. The Rookie
