YEAP!!! Hell Tigger uses a Cheap 40 buck airgun!!! And his paint jobs are AMAZING!!! You dont need expensive guns!! Some guy on here uses just spray cans.. I dont remember who off the top of my head.. I do have a gun with .35.. but I would rather use my .50mm guns.. I got 5 of them.. paint comes out better in that one.. and I like to let it fly everywhere.. you can hide mistakes with you splash paint all over the crank!!! If you screw up just go with it!! I just picked up a picece of wood from Hobby Lobby and carved it.. After it didnt work.. I called Dean my lure consultant! And Fatfingers my lure advisor.. I would suggest you get a Consultant and Advisor.. Then go GUN HO into this!!! Dean only charges 25 bucks per month.. for 2 phone calls per week And Fatfingers is free as long as you send him a pet monkey that gives a good back rub after a long night in the shop makin musky baits!!! So to review. 1. Hire a Lure Consultant 2. Hire a Lure Advisor 3. Buy a MONKEY!!! I been thinkin about under cuttin Dean's price and only chargin 22.95!!! So if your up for it PM ME!! Ok.. Im sorry.. Im having a rough day!!! Have to have a little fun. I use a Iwata HP-BSC or BCS.. I dont know all the models by heart.. its has a .50mm tip.. I like the bottle feeds.. I have never used gravity and everyone says I should but I like to switch out the paint fast! Seems like it would take a long time to clean out the gun.. I might be wrong. Im wrong alot!! but I have got use to using the bottles rather than gravity.. it does suck though because those bottle fall out alot!! TICKS ME OFF when that happens! Good Luck The Rookie

YOU DA MAN NATHAN!!! I have been lookin forever for a different selection.. heck I have tried to make my own.. but I always fail!!! I cant figure out what they use to make the 3 D effect.. I know its usually holographic tape and a black dot.. but whenever I try putting epoxy over the dot and cutting it out with a hole punch later it cracks on me.. Anyone have a good idea for what to use as the glass part of the eye..

OK... heck.. Me and JT got into this discussion a few months back!!! JT helped me out.. I dont like to step on toes.. Heck normally Im only here to have fun. But I think you guys got it backwards.. Heck I always thought if the water was colder it was more bouyant too.. Dont ask me why... VOKDAMAN!!! but I believe a lure that sinks in water temps below 58 degrees could float at 70, 80 or even 90!!! All I can tell you is I have put some in a test tank at 40, 50, 60 degrees and they sink.. then at 75 degrees and they Float... I believe water is more bouyant at higher temps!! not at lower ones! I know that sounds crazy!!! but hell I could be wrong.. I have been wrong before. But I think Im right!! I think it's something to do with the tempature of the air trapped inside the plastic lure.. If that is not the case it sounds good and I did sleep at a Holiday INN last night!!! I dont know about wood.. I have never tested it at really low temps!! Heck its hard to sink!! I use balsa!! and cedar!!.. I really dont know much about science. I was busy trying to get Julie Johnson to go out with me during that class!! BOY!! Im glad she didnt.. I saw her last May!! I use Mt Dew 2 liter bottles!!! I like how they are bent.. That shape helps.. Plus I like TUFF STENCILS they last longer... and you can do alot of stuff with them... The Rookie

Fongster... TIP!!! TIP!!! Heat up the lure with a HAIRDRYER!!! or squrriel roaster!! You will do 3 things at once... The epoxy will go on our your lure like melted butter... you wil heat set the paint!!! and have super ready before the lure drys!! I like to heat the epoxy up too with hair dryer in the winter time... THE HOTTER THE BETTER!! Well too a point.. Hope this helps!! The Rookie

PAINTERS TAPE!!!!! Saves you time in the long run.. When I shoot my Threadfin pattern I test my gun over and over again.. on a paper towel.. then I move my hand REALLY FAST AND PULL THE TIGGER ALL THE WAY back.. but you have to develop your own style.. but that is the only time I really mess around trying to shoot a straight line by hand... Most of the latter lines I do.. I tape them up!!! TOP TO BOTTOM.. Maybe that is why I take so long to get my stuff done.. but i figure that beats clear coating it or washing it off to start over again!! I wish I could shoot a straight line..
