DICK NITES POR 15 GLISTEN PC BOB SMITH EPOXY 20 MIN TOP CURE After you done testing you will find the one you like the best. Each one is different yet all the ones I gave you will last longer than 1 trip if you apply them correctly. Make sure you scuff your bait before you paint. Shoot a coat of Bulldog adheasive promoter on the bait Prime the bait with good primer Paint the bait and heat set your paint Clear coat your bait in stages.. 1 light tack coat 1 finish coat Heat set your clear coat and get alot of air flow over your clear so the moisture cure..cures! But most important. Have fun and laugh at your mistakes and enjoy the learning process. Hope I helped you out and made some old timers laugh. Later bud and good luck

ALL OF THEM SUCK.. IF YOU WANT IT TO LAST FOR EVER DONT FISH IT Next question? Just giving making a mild joke about this topic because it has been discuss more than ROE vs WADE on TU. So go read past post and you will find more than enough material on this exact subject. When your done reading all the post you will be a few years older and not any wiser than the rest of us! In the end you will come to the same conclusion as I stated above. YOUR GOAL IS TO FIND THE ONE THAT SUCKS THE LEAST!

Wow! Thanks Bob...BEST POST OF YEAR in my opinion.. its been a while since I saw something new here on TU..normally all we have to read is clear coat CRAP that has been talked about OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! Very interesting stuff. Does it take the paint longer to flash off using the Floor Polish.. Guess I will just have to try it and see how it does.. Back on Topic.. I take a glass canning jar and fill some lacquer thinner about 2/3 up..then I take my needle out and dip it in the jar then wipe.. then put my airbrush in thinner for about 5 to 10 seconds.. then put needle back in brush without putting the screw that holds the needle in the brush back on.. then I dip the brush in the jar and fill the paint cup up with thinner..once its full pull the gun out of the jar again and hold it over the jar and let the thinner drip out as you slowly move the needle back and forth.. back and forth.. back and forth.. the back and forth motion should come natural to you if your 18 to 34 and single.. if your married and over 35 you might just say I would rather watch Sportscenter tonight than go upstairs and move back and forth with my needle... if your over 50 your just glad you can move...if your over 65...your just glad someone else is willing.. if your over 75 your scared this motion could kill you...... once you start moving your needle in and out you should start to see alot dried up paint dropping out into the jar.. you will be suprized to see how much stuff you get out of your gun if you havent clean out your equipment in a long time.

I like to use Crayola finger paint to find my mojo. I enjoy painting the patterns on my naked belly and seeing how they reflect in natural light before I put them on lure canvas. What? you guys dont do this....."if you want to be a artist you cant just listen to JIMMY... YOU GOT TO HEAR JIMMY!"

Clear Coat , Next Closest , To Dick Nite ?
MR KNOW IT ALL KIND OF replied to MikePaintsBaits's topic in Hard Baits
Glisten PC is 2 part mix.. I just mix out what Im going to use when I use it. My negative with DN was once you open the can LET THE GAMES BEGIN.. with Glisten you mix in the hardner yourself. Save the other stuff for later. The negative with Glisten is it takes 3 to 5 days to dry... if you spray, dip or brush on monday.. you have to hang them up and not touch them until Thursday or Friday. Make sure you heat set them really.. I MEAN REALLY Good if your going to dip or brush. You can wrinkle your paint job very easy with stuff.. just like you can with DN if you dont heat set it good. Good luck. -

Well Ben..Tater asked I pass this on... he wanted me to tell you this and I QUOTE "Dear Texas DIPSTICK! You have exceeded my mediocre expectations with this one. I hope you burn in hell!" Happy Holiday's Hug and Kisses OXOXXO Tater Dont kill me..Im just the messenger. I think he is still pissed over the take over of his lure advisor (aka The Lure Professor!) You might want to send him some Oreo's.. He loves Oreo's.. it could mend this relationship. -

I guess I just want my baits to catch fish.. if they do that I could careless about the other stuff. If you want your bait to swim like live bait... WELL GET OUT YOUR CASTING NET and USE LIVE BAIT! or buy one of my lures Sorry I couldn't resist!

Option #1 The dremmel trick works done it before on plastics baits.. maybe 500 times.. take your time and dont go to far or you will cut a hole in the bait and it will take in water. if you do cut in the bait.. EPOXY the hole good.. let it dry then make sure you add more epoxy and stick on the eye.. that should seal it up good.. Option #2 Spary the whole eye with black and around the out side of the bait.. then take white and just hit the eye ball try your best to get your gun very close..take the tip protector off the gun and tap out the paint..and hold it very close and take your time DIPSTICK or you WILL MAKE A FIREworks SHOT!!! like all of us have done before making shad kill spots..after you get your white over the black eye you should have black out line with white eye.. then take gold or red or whatever you want the outside color to be and lightly spary the eye ball..I had you add white to add depth and to cover the black so your red gold or whatever color you want your eye to be shows up... Last.. Get some black paint and pour 2 rain drop amounts out on a table or paper or cup.. just pour the crap out somewhere so you can dip a paper clip or something like that in the black paint.. you want it thick and you want it to be about ready to drip off the paper clip... then just lightly touch the eye ball.. AND SLOW pull your had away.... all the paint you put on it should help hold it in place because of the chemical bond formula bs the thinkers around here talk about all time that I pay not bit of attention too because its too darn complex for my simple mind and in my opinion a waste of FISHING TIME.. this crap is not rocket science it a fishing lure..(JUST KIDDING DAVE! hope I made you laugh).. if you still get the runs lay off red meat and your using too much paint on your dip... if you dont make a big enough black spot on your eye for your liking.. find a bigger PAPER CLIP skippy. or something like a paper clip. For the record.. I never do option 2... I rather just dremmel out the eye ball and put a stick on eye... but I did sleep at a holiday inn express last night. and Option 2 will work. Try and see what you think. You can get crazy funky with eyes if you have the time.
