Squigster ......... I agree 100% ........ businesses do need a slap in the face if they aren't giving good customer service. But quietly going somewhere else is not a slap in the face to me. I know everyone sees it differently and I respect everyones opinion, but going elsewhere without letting the company know why doesn't do you any good or the company. They don't know why you left and you are deprived of their good product. I'm not saying that anyone should be making a scene but that the company should be given the opportunity to make ammends to you and to maybe change their ways. I'm also not looking for anyone to lose their jobs because they had a bad day but if it is an on going problem then things must be changed.
As far as the 20 yr old being thrown to the wolves ...... well ...... sometimes it's the management that needs some change and I probably would have said something to the upper management about their handling of the employee in front of a custmer.
If the company doesn't make amends then they don't deserve your business but I usually try to give the company the benefit of the doubt by letting them know how I feel and letting them make amends.
In this case, you went somewhere else because of the bad treatment you got and the company didn't have a clue .......... and I had a totally different experience ......
As I said ....... it's just my opinion .......
