  1. Tony, I also tried this stuff today. I molded 10 ultra minnow jig heads. This stuff worked like a charm. I have never had my heads release this easily. And after 10 jigs I couldn't see that any of the graphite was missing or worn off. I also used it for making a lite slow fall jig out of alumilite resin. It too released easily and left none of the plastic in the mold cavity. This has been a real problem for me, having to clean the mold after every casting and sometimes it would be stuck in the mold so tight that I would tear the jig head apart getting it released from the mold. I have tried everything from wd40 to wheel bearing grease, pam spray and vegetable oil. Looks like this stuff might be the answer to my problem. Thanks for sharing. John
  2. Good Job, not nutty in my opinion.

I like it too. Will definitely be a "Fish Getter". John
  4. Hi Mark, good and honest report. Thanks for sharing. Don't be too disappointed and don't give up on the idea either, they were/are awesome looking baits and a good idea. You may wake up in the middle of the night with the solution to the hook-up problem in your mind. This has happened to me a couple of times. Good luck with this one. John

Fuzzy-Wuzzy has lots of hair, or is it Hare? What did you use on these if I may ask? Good looking jigs, and very different. John

  8. I like this color scheme. John
  9. Good Optimistic attitude. If the Sebiles are catching fish, yours will too.
  10. Mark, those are really nice looking baits, love the gill. I like the unique shape of your bills too. I think they will get bit and I am anxious to hear how the hook-up ratio will be. Best of luck with these. John

    deep diver single hook

here is one more, with a rigid hook assembly. I never did get around to moving the tow eye placement to try and make it run deeper. Hope these help. John http://www.tackleund...__fromsearch__1 Quote MultiQuote

    deep diver single hook

Good Job, Mark. I think it will be virtually snag free. Several years ago, I made a shallow runner(app 4ft.) with a single hook like yours except the hook on mine was stationary. I ran it through every brush pile and stick-up that I could find and not once did it hang up. The bib would hit a limb or stick and the rear of the lure would kick up and it would just slide over the limb and do the same on the next one. But I never caught a fish on it either. I think I posted it on here somewhere. I like the idea of your pivoting hook. Look forward to hearing how it performs. John

    First One He Has Hooked

Good News, We went out to Missouri this past week for my oldest daughters wedding. While there we were guests of a property owner on Wauwanoka Lake. It is 100 acres and loaded with bass. We were able to fish it once during all the hustle and bustle of getting ready for the wedding, we caught several bass, a catfish and a bluegill. My grandson was throwing a 6in black worm with a fire tail and actually hooked one himself which weighed about 2 lbs. Now he knows what the bite can feel like. He was very excited about doing it on his own. So was Poppy

    Pvc cranks

Mark, those are all nice looking baits, glad they are catching fish for you. Just curious, what is the purpose of sharpening/tapering the edge of the bib, does it make it dive deeper or change the action of the bait in some way? Thanks John
  17. I have personally never tried it, one of my friends told me about doing this with a dd22 years ago. He would cast and use his trolling motor to run out another 50 ft or so of line. He wasn't sure how deep he was getting but said he bumped bottom for a much longer period of time. He also said that he never caught a bass doing this. But, back then they/he didn't have the electronics to find those schools of fish. John

    PVC prototype #1

Hi Vic You're welcome, that is nice. Awesome depth too. Good Job! John
  19. This is my Grandson Aiden, he is almost 4 years old. He fished his second club tournament with me last week. He can cast a spinning reel with a five ft. rod as well as most adults, but doesn't yet understand about feeling the bite and setting the hook. I hooked these two and eight others and he reeled all of them in for poppy to net. He and especially me (poppy) had a great day.
  20. Hi Mark, thats a nice one, especially nice being caught on one of your own. I second what you say about not having to be perfect to catch the bass. Perfect and purty catches the fisherman. Good Haul. I sure like the looks of the water behind you. John

  24. Try this for making your own screw locks. This is in the members submitted tutorials. This is simple and easy to make and easy to use. One more time, Thanks Kelly for sharing this one. Hope this helps you out. John http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/12037-making-consistent-screw-locks-rev-1-0/
