    1/4 oz traps

Thanks Vic, I am liking the looks of the scaled baits also. I will put these on everything I can and hopefully will be able to catch bass on them. I am really looking forward to doing a scaled jerk bait. I am thinking that all this flash will be a good thing for it. Will post when I get one done. Stay warm. John

    Winter Craw!!

I love those craw patterns, that is a beauty. Thanks for showing John
  11. those are nice, one day, I will learn to paint a craw pattern. hope you got all the crud out of your solarez and that it did not ruin it. the baits look clean
  12. Boisarc You also have a nice clean and well organized shop. I should save you guys pics and start getting rid of some of the stuff that is cluttering up my work area. I think, I may be a hoarder.
  13. Travis, you do have a nice setup. I envy it. My garage and work bench is so cluttered with stuff that I have to pile it in the boat to work on stuff and pile it back on the bench to go fishing.
  14. Looking forward to it. When the time comes that I have more time off than just that one day a week, maybe you and I can get together and snag a few of them ol' brown fish up on Cherokee. John

    Balsa Baitball

That looks really really good. Different and unique. Congrats. John
  16. Hello Vic, we are doing well also. In about six more months God willing and no bad luck, I am retiring and hope to be somewhat like Ben. Just hanging around the house, enjoying life and making sawdust. John

    3d Foiled Dean Helton

Thanks Rhersh I am happy with the outcome of these also. Looking forward to learning to paint with the air brush. This was done with a small hobby paint brush, acrylics and D2T. I took it fishing a few days ago for about two hours and caught four small 14 to 15 inch bass and two stripes on it.
  18. Thanks Vic, Haven't seen you on here in a while, Hope all is well with you and yours. John
  19. Hey Spec, that is really nice of you to offer this, but I am actually very happy with the Reynolds heavy duty aluminum foil. I have to different rolls of HVAC duct foil that I am going to try to see how it does but, I don't think either one is as shiny as the Reynolds and I don't think that the scales will stand/press out as well because of the thickness of the glue backing. will let you know how they turn out if I ever find them. Again, thanks for the offer. John

    3d Foiled Rtltrp 01

I have not, several years ago I foiled (or tried to foil) a couple of baits and both of them turned out to be disasters. I am just really starting to experiment with foils again and this time I have an idea as to what I am doing (Thanks to TU and its members) so I expect they will get better as I go. Don't know if I have ever saw gold foil or not other than mylar material but I do not think it would take on the shape of the scales when pressed. I did save the mylar packaging off of my Christmas ham this year it is a very bright gold on one side and the other side is a very bright silver. Not sure what I will use it for. A thought just popped into my head as I am writing this. Do you think the mylar could be glued to the foil with maybe contact cement then pressed with the scale pattern? Would it retain the shape of the scales if I did that? Oh No, another sleepless night and restless day until I give it a try :-). Thanks for the idea. John
  22. x2, well said my friend.

    3d Foiled Rtltrp 01

This one shows just how bright and reflective the foil is. It is under a florescent desk lamp.
