try a salmo hornet ,the #4 i think, throw it out past a tree or log and then s...l...o...w...l...y wind it over the tree. Make sure you get the floater, the sinker will get you hung up. this is a bait i found at gander Mt. and have caught a ton of fish in ponds and other small bodies of water doing this.
if your not fishing a tounaments i would troll with crankbaits to find fish then go back. cover water, i would use norman deep little N's trolled at 1.1 or 1.2 MPH.
it will most likely be deep structure and maybe trees in 5-10 feet of water, and docks if i dont get a spinnerbait or crankbait bite. this isnt really how i plan to catch most of my fish during the tournament. its kind of a no fish weigh in in 30 mins quick limit, type deal. What size reel do you recomend?
i havent tried the Fenwick, but the clarus rod are VERY good rods for the price i use them alot, our walleye trolling rods are the 7'11" models and are the best trolling rods ive used.
thanks, i think im going to use robo worms, 6 in. im not a big fan of flourocarbon, but ive got some 8 pound vansih trasition. hooks are the only thing i've gotta get.
I got some 1/4oz. drop shot sinkers, will that work?
