  1. Earthworm77 I am having trouble finding the molds on e-bay, can you help? Thanks, Bassbug
  2. Thanks Saint, It looks like I could use better venting on my frog mold. I removed and re-installed the pour spout on the Presto Pot. In was installed at an angle to the Pot. This helped a bunch. Pours from the same spot now. I would like to insulate the Presto Pot in order to hold the temp. better. Anyone with any ideas as to how to do that? Bassbug.
  3. Interested in anything and everthing. Are many people using them? If not, why not? Do they work better than a Presto Pot. Is the price worth it? Is anyone using a stirrer? How does it hold heat? Does it burn the plastic? Can you pour one and two part molds? Does it pour a uniform stream of hot plastic? Does it heat uniformlly? Does it hold the target temp. well? I have a Presto Pot now and am interested in stepping up to a Sta-warm. Looking for more uniform heating and a better pour spout. Is the inside of the Sta-warm pot coated? Does plastic pull out easlly when the pot is cool or does it stick like the Lee Pot? I have to use a wire brush on my drill to get out the plastic remaining in the Lee Pot. Thanks, Bassbug
  4. Thanks for your help Saint, I am using MF regular plastic without any additives. Is that the same as you use? One thing that gives me fits is the plastic will run down one side of the pour spout / valve one cavity pour and the other side of the pour spout / valve when I pour the cavity right next to the one I just poured. I am trying to find a better pour spout / valve. Bassbug
  5. Thanks Jim, It looks like the same one used on the LC pressure pot. Does it provide a more uniform stream of hot plastic than the one you used on your Presto Pot? Anyone know where to find them. Check out Jim's pressure pot pictures, this thread. If I had a pressue pot like that, I would set up all night watching it. Bassbug
  6. plt Looks like this one has gone cold. Anyone else using Sta-Warm Melting Pots or have any additional info?
  7. I am using a presto pot, temp at 360d, pouring right down the center, Mf plastic, tried small streams, tried large streams, fast pour, slow pour, still get davits on the feet. Thanks guys. I may try to get Del to vent the mold this winter. I need the mold right now.
  8. I must have the old Del frog molds, no vents. Saint, could you post a pick of the inside of the vented frog mold? Thanks, Bassbug
  9. Jim, Where did you get the pour spout you used on your new pressure pot? What size? Do you think the same spout would work on a Presto Pot? Thanks, Bassbug
  10. Saint, Did you ever get the temp right on the toads / frogs? I only get about 10% of the feet to pour perfect, have give up trying. Bassbug
  11. Need help matching the color Money Shot Violet used in the Skinny Dipper made by R.I. Thanks, Bassbug
  12. know of any molds available like the basstrix?
  13. Delw where can I see a picture of that mold?
  14. this is from a previous post I sent "After very much use, RTV molds always start producing matt finish baits. Look at Poor Boy baits. Their baits have that matt look. It is a signature look for them. Not all bad. Try brushing your RTV mold with worm oil first. Also just using worm oil on the baits after you pour them works. I puchased some Silicone Oil and brush it into my RTV mold during and after I am done pouring baits, works great."
  15. Saint, How is the new pot working? What plastic do you use? What baits do you pour with it? Sorry about all the questions, but that new pot of yours looks great.
  16. Del has the closest watermelon color. Very, very close to Zoom watermelon. I have tried others.
  17. for overall ease of use, go with MF. Oh, and they are great to work with.
