  1. High temp RTV silicone is good to 560 degrees . Molden lead exceesd that temp.
  2. Save your money and buy custom CNC injection molds -although expensive initially, they save time, increase productivity and consistency. Drop them on the floor and they won't break into 1,000 pieces like POP molds and they last forever. Talk to David Alexander @ www.bearsbaits.com - he has everything you need including the custom CNC molds
  3. Bear's new two-color system( also works w/1 color) and stops all the run-around and extra equipment to double(and even triple) your production output.Complete w/ 2 Presto pots w/ stirrors you need to invest 1k- if you already have the presto pots complete $500.00. That is one cheap investment if you're in the business. My wife helps out in the shop occassionally and she was really impressed as she was continuosly busy hangging newly de-molded baits on the drying racks w/ this new system vs. sittiing and waiting inbetween injection rounds w/ my old method.
  4. White, and a tooth pic tip of brown and yellow carefully mixed in to get the bone color of your choice.
  5. That's the approxamate price Bruce Mcelroy from Lureworks has been stating
  6. Showing concern and respect for the consumers' $ already spent and being able to use your existing presto pots is greatly appreciated. A much better and faster system vs. the use of old,non-heated injectors and additional blending blocks- w/o spending a fortune. I'm sure refinements will be offered in the future.
  7. The unit is the Cat's Meow!
  8. Any salted baits usually sink
  9. If I put 4 tablespoons (or 8 teaspoons)of hardener in 1 cup of plastisol i'd end up w/ concrete. If you wish, mail the mold to me and I'll inject it- then I'll call you w/ my results. My phone number is on my website.
  10. Try 1 teaspoon of hardener to 1 cup of plastison. Hardener must be added and stirred into cold plastisol before heating
  11. Is it safe to assume you're using an injection mold that is vented properly? Slow and easy pressure on the injector( to allow the air to escape) @ 310-325 w/ a med-hard plastisol should help. Spray the inside of your injector w/ PAM cooking spray to permit the plunger to slide easily w/ less pressure.Upon completion, hold pressure on the injector for 10 seconds then top of the spue entrances w/ hot, liquid plastisol( as suggected before)
  12. What temperatures have you been injecting at?
  13. Inject slower w/ cooler plastisol and hold the injector in place w/slight pressure for 10 seconds. Are you monitoring your plastisol temps. w/an Infared thermometer? BTW- is this a CNC mold your working with ?
  14. I 've been using pourasol; for a year+ now. Good service ,great price and the company stands behind their products. That said, it bubbles when heated in a micro wave - it don't care how you do it or try it,it bubbles. Tried some Chemionic samples ths past week( I used Chemionics plastisol for over a year when Bear carried it and loved it) Absolutely no bubbles when heated in a microwave-again,again,again and again - what a pleasant surprise! I hope it hasn't gotten too pricey
  15. Lurecraft can probably help you there. The K-mold website should have contact info by does not
  16. Add the hardener to cold plastic and stir well-then heat your plastisol

  18. Funny you shou;d mention that Frank. Two weeks ago i had the need to call the I.R.S. agent who signed my form #637-6 years ago. We got into a discussion about "under the table " tackle manufacturers. I was told no matter how small they are they will be checked-out over time. I was also asked if I had any names for them to investigate. There are many ways the cash boys can get nailred for sure Big brother wants his excise tax .. 10% on gross sales is cheaper then 10% plus penalties and interest.
  19. Add a couple of drops of green pumpkin
  20. I own both sizes and they shoot single and laminates very well.
  21. You can- 1- add hardener before you heat the plastisol and stir it well. Two level teaspoons will make a difference in 16 0z. of plastisol. 2- Use Pouralsol HARD and mix it w/ the medium for your desired hardeness
  22. Here's the Sweet beaver patent- http://www.google.com/patents?id=LKmZAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=reactions+innovations+lures&hl=en&sa=X&ei=itE9T8O0PLGx0QGp9fXMBw&ved=0CDIQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=reactions%20innovations%20lures&f=false
