  1. A goggle search works- https://www.google.com/search?q=unpainted+crank+bait+bodies&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
  2. Spray the inside and "O" ring sparingly w/ PAM cooking spray every time they start to bind up
  3. You're asking for many, many samples-do you currently do business with either company? Are you in the manufacturing business or just a home hobbyist? If not your requests will probably fall on deaf ears.Bear's has videos of some of these baits and possibly Kevin does also.
  4. The bass don't care but you can dip the body in clear plastisol afterwards
  5. Those of you who do not get a reponse to a phone call /e-mail concerning non-delievery of product(paid in advance-in full) should fill an immediate grievance w/ your credit card company after 30 days from date of purchase - unless the vendor promised otherwise in detail on a written receipt.Credit card companies have limitations to file a complaint.( i believe 30-60 days but check to make sure) The credit card company/bank will contact the vendor concerning your grievance filed within their guidelines.Do not let this ignorant & poor business practice continue and cause you and others a monetary loss. Edited to add: I've never experience a negative transaction dealing w/ David Alexander from Bears baits.
  6. WWhy do the vendors -sponsors or not-continue getting a free pass w/ the customer paying the price of inconvienience, frustration and possible loss of $. I chronicled(in precise detail) a bad experience I had w/ a vendor and custom molds that were order years ago(paid in full-in advance) and the thread was locked. Now others have fallen into the trap as the s.o.p.(standard operating proceedure) of this vendor continues w/others.There is no excuse for lack of communication or prompt resposes to inquiries-especially when you've paid in front,in full.
  7. Well spoken-you're not alone w/your philosophy.
  8. Brushing you jigs in a solution of vinegar and water will clean them and also cause them to oxidize faster.
  9. Precision CNC aluminum injection molds simply can't be beat for- 1- durability 2-ease of application 3- precision alignment 4- superior finished product 5- continuous productivity day after week after month after year They may cost more initially but save $and time in the long run.
  10. Prompt service and prices from this company- http://www.gtbag.com/
  11. Worth willows are the best I.M.O. Their easy spin start and tight to the shaft rotation give them a 5* performance rating. Worth B.B. swivels are also the best I.M.O.
  12. http://www.soapdisharchives.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57949 Two years ago I removed a hot Pyrex container of plastisol from the micro wave and was stirring it @ waist height when it exploded like a hand grenade. I will NEVER use a Pyrex cup again in the microwave w/ plastisol. I use borosilicate lab -grade,measuring cups from the Container Store
  13. All of my injection molds have a 5/8" diameter port. Lubricating the inside of your injectors w/ Pam makes them slide much easier. Two color inject takes time to master. The injectors ,blending blocks and molds must be pre-heated for optimum performance and consistency in colder climates. Both colors of plastisol MUST be the same temperature and viscosity for good laminates. I use 3-4 different blending blocks when injecting 18-24 molds @ one time w/ two colors since the blending block coagulates 1st preventing multiple molds being injected in one round. Two color, hand injection is a learning curve for sure
  14. A word of caution from experience- 1-They get hot quickly-use heat resistant gloves 2-Do not fill more then 5/8 full 3-They are soft of flimsy when used in a microwave to heat plastisol
  15. I use the Skirt master for placing "O" rings on worms but don't use it for making skirts. You have to hold the skirt master open and then place the bulk skirt material through the opening. I tried that numerous times and prefer the bench mounted gizmo from Barlows
  16. I prefer the simplicity of this one.- http://www.barlowstackle.com/Production-Skirt-Assembly-Tool--P814.aspx
  17. I use masking tape, then print w/a sharpie pen and cover w/clear packaging tape.
  18. I have 3 of Bob's -4" hand pour -CNC aluminum,Beaver molds. These are no longer made and are easy to pour.Bob received a letter from Reactions Innovations and stopped making these years ago. These baits are deadly for both largemouth and smallmouth bass.Call me @ 215-781-2515 and we'll make a deal for all 3 of them. They are all in like new condition. Payment via credit card through my secure website. MOLDS ARE SOLD!! www.wincoscustomlures.com
  19. I had issues w/ custom molds i ordered approximately 3 years ago. The molds were paid for in full (in advance)and promised in 4-6 weeks. No molds came in that time frame and numerous phone calls and e-mails were not returned.I filed a grievance w/ my credit card company and suddenly I had a refund check in 2 weeks.Communication is the key to success in any business. To ignore numerous customer inquiries for orders paid in full-in advance is pure ignorance-plain and simple.
  20. On a small business level- 1- Don't quit your day job! 2- Small tackle stores want a 40% discount minimum-stay away from the consignment trap 3-As a manufacturer, you're responsible for filling quarterly form #720 (excise tax) 10% of gross sales-trying to fly under the radar screen on this one may result in a visit from the I.R.S. and possible penalties and interest. They want their quarterly excise tax for sure! 4-How do you wish to be paid/?- credit cards or pay pal-either will cost you 4+ % as a level 4 merchant 5- You'll need to be PCI-DDS certified to process credit cards on your own website 6--Creating your own line of unique and productive,multi-cavity CNC injection molds is very expensive 7-- Be prepared to give out plenty of samples to the gimme crowd w/hopefully a small return. 8-- Allow 5 years to become established 9-- Developing an internet website/catalog can be costly using an outside web designer Good luck!
  21. Bear's baits has the finest salt available-period.(finer then Pop corn salt) Use a presto pot w/ stirrer from Bears Baits to get an even distribution of salt/glitter in your stick worms.
  22. Injection molds are not design for hand pouring. Their venting system is completely different from hand-pour molds. You probably could have sold the mold for a reduced price in perfect condition or even returned it to the seller for exchange for another product. Now you have a hybrid whatever.Good luck
