  1. Yeah, I thought you might be talking about it changing thru the water column, but I dont think it does it fast enough.
  2. I like ghost colors. Like glass ghost for the Rapala X-Rap. Also Gold colors with black and orange.
  3. I use Daiichi hooks for the pike flies that I've been tying. I really like them.
  4. My questions is WHY? If you want a lure to change from red to yellow in the water the why not just make a yellow one? You aren't using it outside of the water, so why need it to change?
  5. There was a post a while back about a company called hi-tech. They make aluminum molds with a computer. I know nothing about them maybe try to find that thread.
  6. IMHO..... You guys took that a little to far.
  7. I'll be up in MN next month for easter weekend. Going ice fishing at Lake of the Woods.
  8. Wold that mean that it has 100% break strength? My go-to knot is the Palomar.
  9. The snows pretty much gone in NM now. Been averaging about 60f at noon.

    New Pike Fly...

Hehe, good that'd be cool the catch my first wipers on my own fly. I was thinking about using these as a kind of swim bait. Just put on like a mid weight bullet sinker before it on a non-fly fishing pole.

Pike Fly No Foam Head Yet...

Here's a pike fly that I just finished tying. I haven't put to foam head on yet. -Orange zonker tail -Chartreuse bucktail body -Orange Zonker collar -Pearl flashabou thrown in
  13. Wow, never head of either of those. Sounds fun.
  14. What are wiper and splake? No pike in a lake with crappie, gills, perch, walleye?? That's a first for me.
  15. Sounds like I'll be there a lot. Pike in it too?
  16. Awesome. I think it's always fun to just go out and catch some bluegill for dinner.
  17. Sounds good. What's the best place for 'gills near Fort Collins?
  18. I'll be fishing there a lot since I'll be in the dorms like 5-10 minutes away. So shore fishing the inlet will produce fish. At some point if I don't bring up the aluminum boat, I'll probably try to find a fishing kayak that I can use.
  19. Thanks Spike. I've got 2 more coming.
