  1. The valve on it is it a good water valve that screw in to adjust or a ball valve. A ball valve is to hard to adjust the air flow. The other can be adjusted in small amounts. In my eyes at first there was not enough air (volcanos)then you had it way to high(boiling out of control). Make certain you have a good valve to control the air in to the cup. After your fead back I would say you have big enough pump:o.
  2. The pole was easy for me. First time I sean it I voted yes and did not coment. To me its easy this is the only goto site. This is also the only site I belong to. I do not have tv, well I have 4 chanels. Do not eat out much (fast food or sit down) mabey 2 times a month or less. But give my children anything I fill they need or want to a point. I do spend money on my habit (making lures) Money made on sunday or side work on holadays. You know this hat fits good and is good quality to it. Try to buy a few things and see if that helps his desion. Bottom line I might start to sell my garded tackle to pay. I will help when asked.
  3. I would think the pump is not big enough. Every thing else sound good. The only reason I say that is when my pressure is not high enough it will do that. good luck and get back to us. I think others will chime in.
  4. Thank you. I am a born yesterday fluxer. Never fluxed before this thread. I love it. Sagacious thank you for all the info. Now I need to think of another question, but I still wonder about altitude?:?Flux Flux Flux:worship:
  5. One more thing you might need to know for an answer. My lead is for plumbers most of the time and is almost pure lead and very clean. I never fluxed untill this thead. I will for hear on out.
  6. You have changed my out look on fluxing. Thank you. Not to change the subject but how dos smoking the mold help. I am having trouble seeing a difference in my pour and do not any change. I would think all the prep would be during the flux proses. One last thing A past post cadman having good pouring when cold out (close to sea level? no moiture in air). I am lucky to have alot of pouring like that and live in utah. Can altitude or lack of moisture in the air change the properties, change like boiling water at high altitude it needs to be hoter to boil.

    microwaves

Dang x-wifes! seams you always get the short end of the stick. But hay you make some cool lures with that stick. (I hope I never have one!)(A wife is enough.)
  8. I use round tooth pics stuck in both ends and heat with a heatgun. The paint will not stick to it like the wire or metal rod. The tooth pic lasts about 5 times then snap it in half and use it on the end you dont hold. Painting I spin it in my fingers to get an even coat. No holes to drill out or filling with paint and I use wire paper clips. X-mas hooks are cheap too not a bad idea.

    microwaves

That only makes me want one.
  10. One more tip cut on a 2x4 two see what it looks like first. Before you learn on the metal.
  11. Wow alot can be answered in one day. I agree, have at it. One tip to match up to two sides is stick a wire where you want to cut the holders and tap on the mold (closed) with a hammer. Then there will be a grove to follow on both sides. After you think you are finished pour your lead in and find anything not matching up and fix it. One mold I have cut from scratch is a 1/8 diameter nail on a 3/0 hook with the keepers you show in the pic. When the grub is on you can't see the hook. The reason I did that is it would fall flat instead of falling nose first. So I know they can be cut with a dremel. Another tool that might help is a engraver that you wright your name on tools. Take one of your old 1/8 bits from your dremel and grind a cutting edge on the end put it in the engraver and just push in the direction you want to go, cuts smooth on the aluminum.
  12. A dremel tipped on its side (45) with a cylinder cutting tip will cut the keepers. But if you want to sell them take heavycover advice. I have had a lot of luck customizing molds. Good luck.
  13. Just have to say went threw my shipment of new 3/0 matzuo by the 1000 and I think they have fixed there quality.:yay:two in the up.
  14. I think I should add a few things because of all the interest. The slot in the screw driver is cut using 1/64 cutting blade in a dremel. Then I put a slightly larger wire than 0.026 wire that I will use. Maybe a 0.030 wire then hit it with a hammer making a cup, so the wire slides in and won't pop out when you twist it. The wire I like to use is the mig welder wire 0.026, with no problem of corrosion yet. Thank you spike-a-pike for helping me make this. If you make this addition too the tutorial magically appear, Thank you again.
  15. Thanks ted. I should go get tested as well. You never notice small changes in your health over a long period. Thank you again.
  16. Bigger head less weight and all weight is forward leaving the hook tipped up for a strike. A reg. football head sits flat and has no way to make the hook stand up.
  17. It looks like there is not any need to have water under it to go! Whats next a rocket on the back.
  18. Good info. Thank you. Never would think water resistant on 5 min.

    Wacky jig molds?

Do-it mold jnr-6-a round head 1/80 - 1/4 oz, hooks 10 - 1/0. #4 hook is 1/16 and #1 hook is 1/8 oz. Just add a slot for the wire. That is the easy to do. Cut with a dremel or even a razor blade.
  20. The only way to find out is to take a risk and try it. I would do it with a dremel small hole first from the inside. Then folowing it with a drill press on the out side of the mold. Use metal for the dowels(A bolt cut down in a drill like a lath with a grinder.) The nice thing is if it is off a little you still have your own design and it might work different. The other way would be what ledhed recommends. But you can ruin a lot of molds for the same cost. Good luck I love to modify or cut my own.
  21. Looks like a football head jig to me to. But a hole drilled threw it with a dowel inserted on two sides to stop the lead flow on the head for that cupped look.
  22. Thanks for the thanks to all of us! Love to hear success. Keep an eye on that plumber and get all the lead you can for free.
  23. I have just used a razor blade to cut it off. You shave a little lead off and it was very labor intensive. Still had a little that burned after. I havent tryed it but acetone removes sticker res off after they have been removed.
  24. I cant wait to see more! That is cool. Still cant make a hunter my self.
  25. Happy b-day. Catch them all when you go out.
