  1. I'd rate them as good as Gamakatsu or the VMC Barbarian line of hooks. Nice finish and really sharp. I just wish I had bought more when I had the chance. I used the Sohumi 114 long shank in a modified Erie jig mold to get the hook eye straight out of the front of the jig head. If Barlow doesn't get some soon I guess I'll have to modify my VMC Barbarians to a 60 deg bend to get by.
  2. I have used the 3/0 Sohumi 114 in a modified Erie jig mold with good success. Really sharp hook and probably the best part is the guys in my club that I gave some to for testing, really like them. Sharp point, med hvy wire and they say they have a good hook up ratio. I didn't have any quality issues but I only bought 50 to try them out. Wish I had bought 1000 as they are out of 3/0 and 4/0 now. My 2c worth
  3. Hagens has plastic boxes in bulk. Min order is 100 per size http://www.hagensfish.com/2007-08pdf/7225Mit153-160.pdfhttp://dfwww.hagensfish.com/2007-08pdf/7225Mit153-160.pdf NOTE! They state their price(s) per 1000 with a min order of 100 so don't be surprised by the $114.90 price in the catalog. That's 11.49 / 100 which is a good price. (I think) My 2c worth...
  4. Stamina sells a bismuth(?) bullet head with the barbarian jig hook in qty. http://www.staminainc.com/jigs_bass/barbulletjig.html What qty R U looking for? I have 500 or so of 1/8th and 1/4 oz in the garage and now that I'm pouring my own jigs I expect they'll sit there for a while. BTW: I've fished Long Pond Brewster and Sheep's pond for smallies with my Bro-in-law from New Bedford. We caught 101 smallies at Sheeps pond one spring day and used the same jig head all day. Nothing to get hung up in those "sand bowls" compared to these brush littered southern lakes. My 2c worth
  5. Jigfisherman, if U don't mind me asking what do-it mold did U start with to get the Spot remover knockoff. That jighead is dynamite for fishing these deep southern lakes for apotted bass. Can fish one head all day in deep brush as long as you change baits when the hook hole gets hogged out and sloppy. Also I see you menyion JB weld to form the mold. Does JB hold up to the temps ok?
