  1. I got my order and how better to end the Christmas season than with these. Thanks Mike! I coudn't be happier. Woo Hoo!
  2. Honestly, I would tell folks if I found any cons with these runners, but I have yet to find anything I dislike about them.
  3. AWESOME!! I'm puting in my order right away. THANKS for offering this to us Mike.
  4. That is such a great way to showcase your baits and some good days of fishin! I really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing.
  5. Can you describe what is happening to the feathers, are the flaring, too long, etc? One thing that came to mind to try and help you, was make sure you strip the lower webby portion of the feather away from the quill, and then you can use the quill to tie into the side of the fly. It is also helpful to pair up your feathers, right/left before tieing them in, and at the same time figure out where you need to strip the feather back to. Dunking the feathers into a cup of warm water can help if the feathers are brittle. OH, as a side note, if you strip one side of the feather off completely, this makes a nice dorsal fin if tied in the center.
  6. Ummmm...You probably didn't mean 3 FEET did you? If it's true, all I have to say to that is... 'We're gonna need a bigger boat!" Maybe this MF mold is of interest: http://www.fishingworld.com/M-F-Manufacturing/Details.tmpl?ID=98212026455154&Cart=122209082011968241
  7. Here is a fish I caught on Mikes runner plastic. Caught it off of one of the craw trailers pictured above. 19.5" smallmouth. I guess it is only fitting that Tennessee smallmouth eat that Orange bait. THANKS Mike!!!!!!
  8. Does the rod have a female screw in at it's base for the rod butt to screw into? If so you could just build a new longer rod butt section that would screw into the existing place, and that would make the rod easier to stow, and you could even have different sizes/weights for deep crankin' or flippin' etc. Just a thought.
  9. I am a 360 Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 addict. GRAW2 is a touch old now, and I am awaiting the next Tom Clancy FPS to transfer my addiction to.
  10. It might be worth a call to Little River Outfitters here in East Tenn. The folks who own that shop are GREAT and they are wonderful to work with. I betcha they can help. It's a toll free call. 877-448-3474
  11. I made these from re-melting the runners that I got from Carolina Baits, and some RTV molds I made myself. http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/classified-ads/14422-plastic-runners.html

  14. I was wondering if anyone else had tried the runners offered by Mike at Carolina Baits? I thought I would share my experience. Just FYI. 1) Ordering is a cinch. The process went smoothly, and my order came in real quick! 2) I ordered a few basic colors, and a couple that he offers that are just AWESOME!!! The runnners came, as he has said, already scented with garlic, colored and glittered. 3) I pulled a "wad" out of the bag and cut it into some smaller peices. I pulled the cup from the micro. to give it a stir frequently, and in no time it was pouring very smoothly. Thats what is SO nice it is ready to go. 4) I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone that is getting started, or even an old hand. I can't speak highly enough of them! I will add some pictures of the baits I made. Please understand that I only make baits for myself, and don't sell them, so if some of them look, ahhhh, ummmm, similar to something you would buy, that is only coincidental. Hehehehehe. LOVE my RTV too. Last of all let me say a public THANKS to Mike, Woo HOO!!!! I'll be calling again REAL soon. And YES, Here is another good reason for you to join TU as a member. I did a double pour to make the claws orange and the body pumpkin. Lower claws to the right are "green shine" an amazing color for the Tennessee river here. Green shine and watermelon laminate. I added a bunch of salt, and some black/red flake senko plastic I had to the runner plastic, and it made some extremely fishable stick baits. I started pouring light, and worked my way darker. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me, and by all means give Mikes runners a try.
  15. This thread might have some useful info. as well.
  16. Did you try to call and talk to Paul? That surprises me that they only have those two colors. Hmmm... This is the number I have to in case you didn't see it on the website. (541)471-1248
  17. I wonder if this is the thickness you are interested in. The folks at Living rubber have always been very good to me. Living Rubber Company, Living Rubber & Silicone skirting material
  18. I bet you could get a good welder to create some type of guard out of re-bar that you could clamp to the lower unit. Let us know what you did to solve the problem.
  19. Nice!! Wow, look at the black stripe on the second bass, like it was put on there with a Sharpie. I would say with that size tail, and length, that bass has some REAL potential. Great job, and kids everywhere deserve this kind of joy.
  20. LOL. Never quite seen it that way before..........ya got me. Keep us posted with your customizations. Does that boat have live wells in it? Because I fish a lot of tournaments, I had the need to add a custom pump-out system ( it was a pain in the hinee to get the weigh in bag full of water from the lake or dip it in the live well). I don't know if that is something you would use down there, but it would go along well with the other bag of tricks you are putting together on your new ride.
