  1. Hello Guys and Gals, I know there havce been multiple posts here on TU about dipping tubes. I have finally gotten my machine shop to make my 75 dipping sticks that I wanted and have dipped about 300 tubes so far over the course of the last week or so. Here is my delimmia:drool: , I can not seem to keep the plastic at the perfect temp consistenly. I heat the plastic up in a microwave and then move it over to a hot plate. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on this. I much appreciate the info and good luck on the water! Marty Rude Z20
  2. thanks Bob for the response. Can figure out how to attach a photo??
  3. Hello Fellow TU folks, I have attached a photo, hopefully, to this thread showing all the crankbaits that I have had in a box for at least a year. I finally got around to seperating them. It is amazing how all those hooks get together and will not come apart. Anyhow here is the question. I do like the way some of these baits move however I do not like the colors. How can I remove the existing paint job and not mess up the plastic? Thanks for all the responses. Marty Rude Z20
  4. Let me know if you want to start a chapter in Kentucky. I would be willing to do whatever just for the knowledge all these guys (and gals I guess) have. Depending on the amount of folks in Kentucky I could have them all over to my place. Later, Marty RudeZ20
  5. Hey Guys, When dipping tubes what do you feel is the best temp to keep the plastic at? I know if the plastic is too hot then it takes way too many dips. I appreciate the info. Thanks, Marty RudeZ20
  6. Thanks Nova for the info. Marty RudeZ20
  7. Hello All, Can anyone give me an idea of how much scent to add to plastic? I do not wnat to add too little or too much. Also what about salt? Thanks, Marty RudeZ20

  11. Hello Everyone, Can anyone suggest, before I go buying a bunch of items I dont need, a melting pot that has the following qualities: inside diameter of at least 10", depth of 12", an adjustable temp, and a device for stirring the contents ( to keep everything mixed). Thansk to everyone for the responses and good luck on the water. Marty Rude Z20

  13. Hello Everyone, I must admit this is the most INFORMATIVE website I have ever seen an my hats off to the originator. My question has to do with dipping tubes or molding tubes. Which way is faster? If you are dipping tubes then what is the time needed in between each dip? I am trying to set up an automated assembly line to make these. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance, Marty RudeZ20
  14. I am actually trying to automate a mld injection process in my shop right now. The bolt size inside of the mold is 1/2"
