    hers a few of my Flatsides painted in Sexy..........the second and the bottom ones on the left aren't Flatsides........................sorry about the mix up. the carving skill level isn't top notch but practice , practice and patience,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i forgot to mention and thats the important thing is they all have caught fish. i guess they (fish) are the real judge of all our work

    here is a couple of my crankbaits i painted. not award winning work but the LM, SM and Walleye love them...... the one on top is hand carved and the last report i had from the guy i painted it for says heand his dad have caught over 200 LM,SM,whitebass and walleye combined since March,,,
  7. my name is Richard Fleming. i am 53 years old. i live in Virginia in whats known as The Devil's Triangle. it's a few minutes drive from Ky., W, Va. and Tn and all roads lead to no where. i have been married for nearly 34 years and we have 3 kids, 2 girls and 1 boy. i am a disabled Coal Miner since 1990. i operated a continuous miner for nearly 15 years. my wife and i love fishing and we fish mostly in Tn on Douglas Lake. we will on occasion fish our home lake Flannagan aka The Dead Sea....i mainly airbrush cranks and i hope to get into carving my own this winter......man this stuff is addictive.....i wake up in the middle of the night with color schemes and pattern's. i am willing to help anyone that needs my help. i know how you guys feel about takers, my wife and i are mod's an a fishing site and we call the "Lurker's" always taking and never giving. if any of you guys fish East Tn then come join our site. i hope its OK if i post this address.

  9. they look great. i haven't gotten the courage to try the split grip but i believe i will give it a try real soon
  10. i found that a fork (flatware) works great for gougng the cork off the blank
  11. i use a .03 . do you think I should thin it and try a .02?

  13. thats what i have now and its a good brush but i have trouble with fine lines. do you have any trouble shooting fine lines like gill's...............maybe i need to learn how to use the air regulator but i am using a diaphragm air compressor. i am also going to up grade my compressor to one with a tank.
  14. summer fishing is winding down and i am going to buy a new Airbrush .............. theres several brand's but i would like to know which you guys prerfer. price,,,,,, no more that $250.00. i spray lots of Pearls and fine line's.

  16. ops!!!! now thats a good question. i hate to get ready to tie on a fly and the hole has been painted over. what would be a good way to prevent this from happening when i paint them?
  17. guys i hope you can see these. i know there is several things i did wrong. if ya don't mind i would appreciat you pointing them out to me and tell me what i need to do to correct my mistakes.

  20. guys buying jig heads for tying get expensive, i need to get a mold for Float-N-Fly jig heads and one for tying Crappie Flys. i don't know which one to order and i would apreciate ya help.
  21. guys i want to thank you for the help. you have given me a load of helpful info. now as soon as my craft hair or craft fur which ever its called arrives, i am off to the tying bench. i will post some pic's for you guys to look at , make fun of or poke fun at.
