I was looking at trying this no mix clear coat to use as a clear on my lures. Has anyone tried it and have any feedback before I pull the trigger? I have one of their airbrushes and I bent the needle. Their website is no longer up. Does anyone know how to get a needle to their airbrushes?

I am thinking about starting to build my own rods. I was looking at mudholes house blanks and want to know if anyone has used them. If so how is the quality? Any info on getting started on building your own rods would be great. Thanks Bobby

I used the Createx paints the the same that I use on my cranks. I also use a two part clear coat epoxy that is made to cover table tops. This is great stuff you can find it at wal mart or hobby lobby. You have to take all of the plates off of the reel to do this. I have a couple of air brushes that I use. Just get a good one and you can do baits with it as well. The table top clear coat is great because it will self level out with out having to put it on a drying wheel. Just make sure that you do not get to much of it in places were screws have to go back or other components have to fit back over. Take an older reel and play with it first. I would stay with the clear I suggested because if you do not and you have a worm on your hook and store it on the reel it could eat the clear and then you have a reel that looks like . I know that this has been talked about before and I did do a search but can not find it. My 1/2 oz poison tail jigs are coming out with a small air pocket in the bottom part of the nose. When I remove the pour there is a hole left in the jig. How are you solving the problem. I have a bottom pour pot and have the temp on high I think that is 10.

I bought a large bag of staws and cut them to length. I slip them over the weed guards and then heat them up. Then I remove the straw and dip them in the powder paint. The weed guards will flare alittle bit but when you put the straw back over the weed guard and bake them they will turn out like they were new.

I was wondering if any of you make a swimbait similar to the new Basstrix type bait. If you do let me know I may be interested an purchasing some. Here is a pic of the bait Thanks

The ones that I was mainly having problems with were the ones that were already painted. I do agree that if I were to order the unpainted ones and paint them and then put my two part clear coat on them it should seal any holes in the bait. But if the baits are supposted to be sealed from the factory when they are glued together. They are the best looking lure bodies on the market right now and I have caught fish on them and wil continue to use them. You can't beet the price comparied to Lucky Craft. I will take a few sinkers.

I was having an issue of water getting into the bait. I will not purchase anymore from them because of this.
