  1. Heck i have no problem with the white and i don't add stabilizer. the frog mold I have has a small diameter and when pouring two colors in it, it is even smaller. I need the plastic super hot. adjust your microwave settings and reheat in small intervals, I can reheat two or three times before it yellows.I am thinking a pot may be the way to go to just keep what i need in white heated up, then again I don't move a lot of white baits
  2. just use ACDsee, it's really good
  3. You ever make a color and then go damn that's nice and not write it down? Well that's what happened sort of, it was easy enough to remember 35 drops MF green pumpkin 10-12 drops MF Green Chartreuse 4 ounces plastic------no salt add green chartreuse as desired to achieve a smoking green watermelon pumpkin color I also used 1/8th of black 40 and black 62 Lurecraft paints for spots There might be a way to do it with less color, but I use MF exclusively as I have never tried any of the others ( lurecraft, dell) Hope this helps
  4. No problem. but it's a custom pour. I poured a thin layer of MF yellow for the belly leaving just enough room for an outline of green chartreuse( Like a ring around the belly yellow) put molds together then added the top color with a 1/8th of black 62 and 1/8th of black 40 flake. there is no salt in any of these..... oh I almost forgot a 1/2 tsp of floatent per 4 ounces. You might want to add more depending on line and hook size to keep the frogs floating
  5. I actually bought it off e-bay, but since then have been to bob's site and i would agree. It's definetly Bob's mold
  6. Oh and the green color you see was made without any watermelon coloring, it's a nice mix of MF green pumpkin and MF green chartreuse. They are really getting good with their colors, i'm gonna try that same green with some red and purple flake in 5 inch sticks
  7. Well I have to say I might be obssesed with frogs now. I ordered some of the plastic paints from lurecraft, and I must say they are fantastic, not just the paints but the customer service. i ordered them on Monday morning and they arrived yesterday afternoon. Talk about fast Anyway, I was thinking eyes and spots and after some trial and error decided eyes might be too much, so i opted for spots. while I might need to downsize the spots a bit. I like it. The paint drys quickly and does not come off, even when i globbed a bit I couldn't even pull it off without tearing the plastic. Phenomanal stuff. I was also able to dip tails on my worms directly into the paint, giving them some nice red tips. Here is the first batch that I came out with. after googling some frog images i have a ton of ideas for color patterns, and while I might never sell them in bulk,( they can take up to 20 minutes per 4 frogs) they would make nice presents for friends and to fill up my tackle box
  8. that green you see throughout the top of the frog, is just color, not pearl or hi lite No frogs were actually hurt in the making of these frogs:)
  9. neither, it's green chartruse dye from MF. Fantastic stuff
  10. Well went to a small lake yesterday and was fishing some frogs, seeing how big a hook I could get to float with one of my frogs(5/0 by the way), anywhoo, i was ripping the frog over some grass and had a few blow ups but no takers( yes, i wait, no i don't just jerk it) almost like they were interested, but not enough. Then as i ws taking the kids around the lake i had switched over to some stick baits and had a small tap, set the hook and reeled in a huge bullfrog. I was intrigued by the colors and the pourer in me went right home to creat a frog that "matched the hatch" so to speak, after a few failed attempts. i got something half way decent. went back over to the lake and had 3 bass in about 20 minutes, each one absoulutely crushing the frog. maybe there is something to the "match the Hatch" after all. Might have to catch some pan fish tomorrow and pour some flukes
  11. I agree paypal is so easy, just click and transfer your money or get a paypal credit card. many people use it. Very very easy worth every transaction penny

I would flop that all around the pads all day long, that looks like a great downsizing bait.
  13. ahh fish will eat anything, it still amazes me how much people fall into the whole scent thing, don't get me wrong, it can make a difference under certain conditions, I also think that there are days when a fish just might pass on your sambuca soaked worm in favor of an unscented worm but what about all those bass that fell victim back in the days before scent? i think it's a confidence thing for the most part. i use it all the time, but there was a time I never used it and i don't see much of a difference in my catch rate. if all fish thought the same way, a bedding bass would either always spook or never spook. How come some will east your bait right away, while others will swim off that bed so fast and wait until they think it's safe to return. I have read all the books, unfortunately the fish didn't write them Next time the bite is on, pour a little gas on your worms, see if they just stop biting, chances are the fish will eat your worms regardless of scent but it does make you wonder
  14. MF indigo is very strong, it purples up quickly, if using the heavy green flake you might want to mix some of the mf indigo with the mf blue smoke pearl you will get the purple of the junebug with a blue tint of pearl in it. by far two of the hottest colors I have fooled around with were the blue smoke pearl and the transparent orange from MF, their highlights are very very nice also, good luck

    hot! nice work
  16. [quote=ghost; Now the only question is will the wife ever come around to my new hobby??? Nope. Mine won't come within 30 feet from the garage when I'm pouring and she won't take things to the post office either because of the looks she gets standing in line witha bunch of very heavily scented packages
  17. MF has a great white, when adding pearlescent I was always told one drop for every drop of color you add, but I have found on my own that using both MF products I use 12 drops white and 6 drops pearl in 4 ounces Never reheat and if you do watch the heat it will yellow quickly if heated too long. the salt you use might also have an effect on it. I have many customers that order just white, white with black, blue, red or even silver, also be careful if you are making other colored baits if you have any dye on your fingers it will rub off quick.
  18. I use pyrex cups and have about a dozen or so. If you plan on pouring a bunch of baits, then always keep a notebook for diiferent recipies you might stumble across, as far as cleaning them goes. I use canola oil spray. It does a great job removing glitter and cleans the cups nice. It also does not leave a sticky residue or add any unwanted scents to the baits. A little goes a long way JMO
  19. They look nice, is there a way for you to zoom in closer? try cropping your images. I have also fallen in love with taking images outdoors. They come out very clear and all I do is use the daylight camera setting, I have a canon a540, nothing special
  20. Yeah, check the size of the images you are trying to upload. They might be too large, if your not sure right click them and go to properties,it should give you a size

Here are some more frogs, The boys up in PA called to tell me they tore them up today using the frogs, so I decided a few more colors were in order. I think i'll drop the red shads tomorrow morning while it's still dark out
