  1. Laminated will keep your product and scent in the bag. Presentation is everything to a store owner.
  2. If I'm re-melting for the same color, I'm good to go. For multiple colors, it all goes into one pot and I add black coloring. You may want to add a little heat stabilizer to help ease the burning or yellowing. This will be a non issue when making black.
  3. Try a neon yellow. Just dilute it til you get the shade you want.
  4. Bob makes a great hand pour. He made us some 4" several years ago.
  5. Pm me your address and I'll send you a couple of craws. I have both the paca style and the 702. I prefer the 702 myself but this will help you make a decision of which one to start with.
  6. Use a hypodermic needle and shoot some air into the finished product. That should save you some time, aggravation, and money on the plastisol.
  7. Don't forget the FET. The tax is due on any product you make and sell. Also, any stock left at the end of the year is taxed ( I live in ky.) as sellable inventory.

    Hacked

Can't read any topics. Anyone else having this problem?
  9. Keep reading and learning. I check this site daily and learn about a lot of interesting techniques to customize our products.
  10. Run a pipe cleaner through the hole to make sure it is clear. I have several and never had a problem with them. Also check your plastic temperature, salt and fleck content.
  11. You can build one using a can crusher. They are fairly cheap, around $15.00. Mount your blades in a U channel like Lure craft.
  12. There are a number of suppliers for what you need. I would purchase small amounts of plastic, coloring, scent, and fleck until you are sure this is what you want to do. Just remember when ordering your supplies, a pair of heavy gloves and long sleeve shirt to cover your skin and preferably a full face Sheild to protect yourself from the hot plastic are a must.
  13. Can't get the classifieds to come up since the update. When I click on it, the forums come back up. Any ideas what happened???
  14. Check secretweaponlures.com
  15. We still hand pour a lot of our product. We use Cargill sea salt and run it through a blender to make it a fine powder. It will stay suspended at the cooler temps.
  16. Iron yellow with a shade of pumkinseed.
  17. Could be ox blood with a drop or 2 of black.
  18. Try FM bait out of Litchfield, ky. He shoots all of prowler and venom's stuff.
  19. Carolina pumpkin and no flake.
  20. Lures are for the fish, colors are for the fishermen. That is a great looking bait but not worth that price point.
  21. Has anyone read the msds that details the short and long term effects of plastisol? What happens when you burn or scorch the plastic? Is proper ventilation enough?
  22. You can also use a range hood. Just change the filter often.
