Thanks fellas, I am hoping to snare a trout on this one. Black and red, sometimes hot sometimes not. pete

    Crankbait

Rapa- nice group of baits, you have been busy, I especially like this silver one. pete
  3. Jay , thats great, good on you, nothing like that feeling, you will still get it on your 100th, especially when your mates are catching nothing, for not being 'true believers'. Oh well that's the end of your marriage and your mates. pete
  4. That toilet paper filter would be good, I could pull it out on hot days dry it and use it to clean the brush- you have to be thrifty these days. pete
  5. Pro - I have never used this either, but have some equilivent to DN clear. I would be checking out this post before I purchased a gallon of any moisture cured poly, no matter how cheap it is- Dick nite setting up in can help .Pete
  6. Great idea KC, my trap is right on the tank and never get any water either. It's raining today so I might check it out, and build one of your traps. Question- who is going to line up at the checkout, with the personal feminine, hygienic, thingo's for me. pete

    Purple Mylar Foil

Thanks Vince/ Swede, I am starting to get this D2T down pat- found some blue mylar today, so looks like another week gone. Swede, I still have not done one like your raw wood lures, keep forgetting until I see your little gems. pete

    New colors

benton - Love it , especially the bottom one, beautiful color and screening's. pete
  9. Hawgydawg - you are hooked now - there's no turning back. pete
  10. dampeoples I have a problem with bottled wine going off (Red) when the air gets into it, maybe this gas would solve that problem also. Penfolds wine here, injects nitrogen into your bottles of 'Grange' every year (and re-corks them) for the same reason - Latest vintage (2002) is worth about $550 a bottle. I might try it on something a little less expensive - how decadent , DN stored in an empty 'Grange Hermitage' bottle ! !pete
  11. Smitty - great color, eyes and finish, I bet they will look great in the water, my ex had eyes like that - by the way where did you get them (eyes). pete

    Red Black Mylar

Another Mylar foil, Red/Black, 3" with a Poly 'Platypus' lip, which narrows and slows the action. I am weighting these for a change, added 3 gm's- to about 14 grams, hand carved Kauri pine as usual. pete
  13. It's just you and your computer, It's working in Malaysia and Australia. pete
  14. Dick- 'Tips'. A litre of DN Clear would do,------------------------------ just kidding, can't freight it to here anyway, good stuff though. pete
  15. Plain old VMC s/shank 6-8s for me. pete

    Purple Mylar Foil

Another Mylar foil, pink/purple, 3" with a Poly 'Platypus' lip, which narrows and slows the action. I am weighting these for a change, added 3 gm's- to about 14 grams, hand carved Kauri pine as usual. pete
  18. With this optional (no fumes) ventilation door, you get great a cross draught and with the under and over bench pressure differential, you get a swirling effect through the plenum, which is out in the yard, (not pictured). There are also several energy efficient dust extractors on the door; they have been there for years. Dave (VodkaMan) would be able to explain this
  19. cadman - I'm really sorry to hear this, but I suppose thats life- one of my sayings, after some bitter experience is, 'never believe the the guy/girl you are talking to, has the same ethics as you, because they generally don't' and will rip you off in a flash. I know for a fact there is at least one person on here who is pinching ideas/ processes from the forum and re-posting them elsewhere and making these ideas etc, his own. pete
  20. Gee you guys are 'Micro', you were not supposed to notice most of that. The 'flat iron', 'hair crimper', is a hair straightener- my daughter reclaimed hers so I had to buy one, has dial up heat and is perfect for bending/forming 'Lexan', (polycarbonate). The toilet paper is for cleaning the brush, I got sick of buying boxes of tissues, which sometimes are oil and perfume impregnated (Aloe Vera oil etc) and contaminate the paint and lures -you should see the floor out of shot, looks like the back room at a strippers bar. The optional ventilation door is for removing heat, it was about 38c (100F) that day, (see the glare outside). pete
  21. Bruce - I would have to agree with that . Pete ! !
  22. I have been reading redg8r MST on reducing pictures, this is probably a stupid question but what does "&Amp" mean- It is all through it and I have seen it in other tutes too. pete
  23. Thank's Nathan, but this is the problem - it was probably being a bit presumptuous of me, and I did not think of the lathe and who was going to opperate it. If it does happen, I hope it's one of many little tricks we can all use. Thank you again for the offer to 'use all of your tools' ! ! and I look forward to seeing you @ Clinton.pete
  24. S/C - Imagine all the painting/blobing you will be able to do, while the little wife is at work, or checking things out in Florida??pete
  25. VM - You only want to turn it back into an 'English Wheel', it's nowhere near as advanced as that. pete
