Jimmy- Apparently you can spray Dick Knight's clear coat, ( ad at top of page) I have only used it with a brush and it is super clear and tough- the down side is it takes about 12 hrs to touch dry and a week to cure, (any coating that takes a long time to cure is generally pretty tough). The fumes off it are pretty lethal, so you should all ways use a mask or extractor fan. I think there are a few guys spraying this on TU, maybe they will chime in here and sort you out .pete

Thank you all for the compliaments, I just hope the fish like it as much. LaPala- I made the lure in halves (through wire) this allowed me to concentrate on glueing the edges, rather than trying to align overlaps etc.pete -

Swede - Whatever it is , it looks like it's beautifully made, even for a plastic. Here we are struggleing with foil and it was done 35 yars ago. How true "Theres nothing new under the sun". Pete

rofish- I will second that, put one in a vice and try and bend it. How do you remove the 'thin metal sheet' from these CD's? Pete

Found a new Red Holographic handbag (I think you guys call them 'Sacks'). It's tough going getting it on but worth it. I loaded two pics so you could get an idea of the FLASH this stuff gives off. If this thing does not catch a fish , I'm not playing. Its 14gm's X 80mm, hand carved Kauri pine, unweighted. pete

La Pala - Very interesting, I would never have thought Rapala would let us see how they do it, makes us, me look positively prehistoric. I made a copy lathe (as in 1st video) about 25 years back, the biggest problem was getting the right cutting tool- never did - the second biggest problem was my ex wife.pete
