    3" Black Snake

3" Hand carved, Unweighted, Kauri Pine, Bent poly Lip. Love the contrast this screen gives - as with most of our lures, photos don't capture it all. pete
  2. Just uploaded "Fixed Post" version. Sorry for the delay.Pete Use Pikemans link . http://s206.photobucket.com/albums/b...Lip%20Jig%202/
  3. Pikeman- Top link worked every time for me!! BUT How do you do that? As you can see I'm no computer boffin. Thanks pete
  4. Riverrat:I allways wanted to be a "pattern maker" (now they are guys who can work wood etc), but done a trade as a moulder instead, now I am a firefighter (32 yr's), how's that for an about turn. Not much in Aerospace here (Australia) anything worth while would be secret, I will have a look on Google etc. Thanks for that anyway, eventually it will surface on the market somewhere, seems to have a heap of good properties we could take advantage of. Thanks for your reply again, Pete
  5. Riverrat - sound interesting, who makes it? I am a bit far for postage, so maybe, I could source some here. Pete

  14. Thanks Swede, have not seen you here much lately- been fishing? From what you say it stands to reason you would use Z lips, with all those sreams there, makes me very jealous, unfortunatly we can't even get our rivers flowing here-still in drought, going into 6th year. pete

Sorry about the pic quality of these three, the light meter was somehow confused by the fluro colors I think. Appears hard drive also a bit confused!! Hand carved, kauri Pine, 3", unweighted, bent poly lip, weight 10gm's. Pete

  20. It really amazes me what we all can come up with, who would have thought of using a jig saw !! or a sewing machine !! AMAZING stuff, I have both in the shed. I have been strapping mine (with elastic bands) to my drying wheel with a few ball bearigs in the paint, works well, but not near as quick as a jig saw. Keep it coming, pete

    Cracking paint

From here, it looks like a good start would be a decent quailty topcoat, with a bit of build, it appears to be pretty thin whatever it is. Like every one is saying it's probably the water, weather it is forced in or sucked in , it is going to bust any finish. I have seen a wood chip bust a cast concrete slab 6" thick, it's how they split marble- granite etc, wood is just an amazing 'product' good and bad. And after all wood expanding is how they have kept (keep) sailing ships afloat for god knows how long, before that Ark, they reckon. pete
