  1. Nothing wrong with those. Very nice! What do fish think that light plum senko is supposed to be? Or is it just one of those colors that the fish like, but doesn't really resemble any type of forage?
  2. Keep your plastic stirred well. If you see a few clumps of plastic in the cup, hit it for another 5-10 seconds in the microwave, remove, and stir. I pour my sticks with the plastic a tad on the cool side and I still don't have many problems with clumping.
  3. No worries. If you have trouble, let me know and I'll get the recipe I used to match the chartreuse in their #169 color. I think it's the same base color as their Firetiger. Mine is ever so slightly less green, but that can be fixed easily enough.
  4. I've poured a good version of Yamamoto #169, but the chartreuse in this bait looks a little more muted down....not as bright. Maybe it's just the picture on the GY website that makes it look like that? I've never seen that color in person so you'd be a better judge than I would. I'd start with chartreuse and primary green. That should get you close. I don't have my notebook in front of me so I can't give you the recipe I used to copy the chartreuse in their #169 color. Just take it slow and eyeball it along until you get close. I think a combination of those two colors will get you there. The GY website lists the three different glitter colors they use in that bait if you weren't sure about that.
  5. It looks like there are two different sizes of blue flake in the bait. Or it might just be the fact that I'm a few Budweisers in at this point.
  6. I think there is definitely something to "matching the hatch" for bass. Aside from the blinding chartreuse sticks I poured (the smallies love that color) all the rest are more natural shades. So far, they work so there is deinfitely something to it. You've proved it for sure! Great looking frogs by the way.
  7. Just keep practicing. I started making pours in an open aluminum mold for the first time this weekend. At first my baits looked like my 6 year old poured them. After some time, they looked much better. I still have some small details to work out, but the overpour isn't really an issue anymore.
  8. With's Del's recipe (1/2 cup salt, 1/4 cup softener to 1 cup plastic) I can pour 30 t-sticks. So, that comes out to 480 t-sticks per gallon if my math is right. I pour mine with pyrex so I don't know about the production pot. Alphaone -- I'm using the recipe that I referenced above. I believe that's Del's standard formula. Are you pouring the thicker T-stick like I am, or the thinner senko type? My t-sticks seem a bit tight to me, but I had a guy giving them a good workout today and I'm just waiting to hear. I feel like I could go a tad bit softer with them, however. As far as durablility, my sticks should stand up to quite a few fish before they need changed but we'll see..
  9. Hey, Del... I use this recipe for my T-Stiks and the sink rate is perfect IMO. I just want to soften them a little bit. Any recommendations on an amount of additional softener to add to accomplish this? (Sorry about jacking your thread, Alphaone. It kind of goes with the theme, however.)
  10. Here's a link to a video showing their other new bait.. Similair principle as the other one, but more like a crawdad. Pretty cool action.. I'm guessing Del could probably do up a mold for this one too.
  11. Del-Mart Kicks Bass... Great customer service. In fact, I just placed my second of what will be many orders from them the other day!
  12. Thanks for all the input, guys. Great looking jig trailer, Senkosam! Thanks for posting that.
  13. I've never even seen this color bait with my own eyes so I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas?
