  1. Thanks guys. Will check into the tru turns for my other molds (poison tail, football, etc.)
  2. Cadman, Thanks for the info. All my powder painting is done with a heat gun. I will talk to the guy and see if he minds the screw locks being painted. What type of tape are you using? I was thinking wide electrical tape would work best. As far as any jig that takes 1/8" base hole pins can take screw locs goes, that is very good to know. So my Weedless football jig can use screw locs? I ordered the Shake it mold and some screw locs today and will play with it once it arrives. Where do you get the tru turn screw locks?
  3. I powder paint all my jigs but looking at the photo gallery on the site I see some screw locks on jigs that show no sign of paint. I figured tape was the route to go but wanted to get the pro's opinion.
  4. what type of tape do you use?
  5. I am planning on picking up the Do It Shake it mold. How are you guys powder painting the jigheads without painting the screw loc?
  6. Probably just gonna have to talk to Collins Customs. Just didn't want to spend a large amount of money on a mold that 1 person has been asking about.
  7. Anyone have a source to get a mold simular to the Northland Rattlin Fireball? I have a guy that wants 300 of them but of course (don't have a mold for it)
  8. Yeah the flagging nazis do a great job. Just drives me nuts when I get flagged (even if I deserve it).
  9. I have been using craigslist for customers for a few months now and was curious if anyone else has been using this site? For me it has paid off by getting many site hits but not the best for generating sales. Also have been having a huge problem with the flagging nazis.

    Awesome site

I spent my share of time trying to explain that to the better half. But she has just accepted that I will not quit and has decided to help where she can. I get more joy out of watching her catch fish with my lures than when I catch them myself.

Sorry to hear about the deployment King Bait. I will never fully know how hard it was for my wife to handle my deployments. Just make sure you give her as much quality time as you can before she leaves.

Bassducer said it right. You will find yourself spending more time in your pouring room than the living room. Best advice I can give is get the mrs. involved. It will help prevent her from having a fit that you are having an affair with tackle making.
  13. Those look great.
  14. If you can't be at Oktoberfest in Germany the next best stop is Wisconsin!!!!
  15. As someone who is not much of a beer drinker but reigns in the Beer Capitol of North America I can say that you are correct. Pretty much all brewery's here in Wisconsin were founded by German Immigrants. I would safely bet that Wisconsin has the largest amount of people of German descent in the U.S. I have been all over the world and this is the only place where beer is used as a tool to draw people to events. Even Churches use beer as a tool to get people to attend functions. It is quite entertaining, but my wife who is from California where life is the exact opposite does not find the humor in it as I do. Go Figure!!!
  16. More than likely I would guess the beer is a English brand from England. Alcohol is readily available but most if not all that we were able to acquire was English. The few Liquor stores that they have in Iraq do not sell any U.S. brands.
  17. Well I can tell you as a service member who served 2 tours in Iraq and also a year in Korea on the DMZ that it was meant as a joke and without taking the time to do things such as in the picture you will lose your mind over there. If you are not out on mission you are sitting in a crouded tent or building just as if you are in prison. So if it offended you I do apologize but you need to realize that humor is what gets most service members through there tours of duty. I know we did numerous things such as in the photo and sent them to our loved ones to show them that we are doing ok and still have a level head.
  18. As if roadside bombs, suicide bombers, and car bombs are not enough the terrorists have found a new way to get to our troops.
  19. I know it is a joke and all, but it got me thinking that something like that would work great on some of the smaller ponds in my area. But I guess I will just stick with the float tube.
  20. Looks like a football head jig to me. Probably a 3/8oz.
  21. Yeah I always make sure he is well stocked in lead for making his bullets.
  22. Went to work last night and a co worker told me he had some supplies for me. After work I walked out to his truck and boy was I pleased. He had numerous boxes full of spinner blades in all shapes, colors, and sizes. There must be close to 500 of them. Hooks in all kinds and sizes well over 1000 of them. Beads galore, feathers, bucktails, thread, 20 2oz. jars of powder paint and about 50lbs. of sinkers. Some lady with a house on the lake was selling all her husbands fishing stuff ( I suspect divorce) for practically nothing. He said he got 4 rods, 6 reels, 2 ice augers and all the above mentioned for $50. Anybody else ever find deals like this?
  23. I have always had great success catching walleye and bass on worm harnesses but yesterday I nailed a pike on one. Of course it broke off pretty much instantly but it was a first for me. He came right to the surface and took it about 2 feet from the shore of the river. Really wish I would of landed it because it would of been the largest pike for me. Easily over 36".
  24. No I was not serious. I will keep playing with it when the fishing is slow. But I might just put a couple yards of line on it since it is a pain in the *%& (donkey) when it bird nests on me. Only way to fix it is to cut all the line off and start over. I guess I was figuring a bait casting reel would work the same as the old zebco's like when I was a kid. Just push the button and watch it sail.
