  1. SJ - I haven't seen .032 in a LONG time!! I use a lot of .024 and .031 for my trout, bass and beetle spin frames. The only place I've found through a search is McMaster Carr but not sure if it's the same as you'd get at the tackle sites http://www.mcmaster.com/#stainless-steel-wire/=ux7rui
  2. That smile says it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I agree with you on the help. I've been pouring for many years and had never heard of fluxing my lead and it has definatly made my pouring more enjoyable!!!!!
  3. Not sure if this is what you're looking for but at one time there was one in the for sale section but you can also go to Jacobs baits http://stores.jacobsbaits.com/injection-machines/

    Spinners Noise

Flash and vibration are what spinners are supposed to do, attract fish. Don't over think it and enjoy!!
  5. How much does it cost to make a mold for a spin caster???
  6. There's some spin cast molds in the for sale section - mostly for ice fishing jigs. Wish I had one!!
  7. For the glue get yourself some Duco Cement, the stuff works great!!!!! Haven't lost an eye yet off my jigs. http--,,--//
  8. I believe Ron closed the business down, he's been pouring for himself. Saw your post over on Jigcraft - click on his name and send him a pm, Don't know for sure how big he can pour in those.
  9. Why don't you just take collarless ball heads and flatten the sides paint and stick the eyes on?? These only have 3mm 3d eyes on them but have room for bigger.
  10. Wapsi Gel Spun 130 Deiner thread is the exact same thread.
  11. Get some stainless steel wire and run it through the hole dip your slips, cure, cool and then pull the wires - hole is clean. They're really no different than the lure body mold.
  12. Could that cutter from LureCraft cut rabbit skins for zonker strips???
  13. When I did LEEs 1/2 price replacement on my 24 and 27 year old pots back in 2011, I got 2 of their newer pots and I haven't had any dross problems with them. I have always run them at 6 to 6 1/2. I have a small metal tin I put under the spout in between pours or when adding more lead. For drips I use a screw driver to push down and spin on the pour bar. I don't notice anything with heating up the pot as I don't leave lead in mine and clean after every use as I don't have a dedicated work area.
  14. No sweat - I learned something, and I'll check with worth again!!
  15. SJ - I understand that but if the swivels he's looking at are just a Rosco product sold by Sampo he might be able to get them cheaper from Rosco. I like the Worth swivels but I don't have tax id to purchase direct from them. I checked and I could if I bought big amounts but I don't buy in quantities like that.
  16. I use photobucket - there you just copy the contents of the IMG box and paste it into your reply. I sent you a PM.
  17. Sampo at least on the crane swivels buys them from Rosco and charges 10 times more for them! To order direct from Sampo I'd have to pay $162.68 + shipping for 1000 crane swivels #12. Straight from Rosco $38 and change, this is for the exact same swivel. Makes you wonder if they get all their swivels from Rosco?? I can give you a contact at Rosco if you want.
  18. ING yes please post a pic of it here. Show a good shot of the clevis and blade on the wire. If you're tying materials on the treble place the spinner straight up and down with the blade pointed straight down toward the treble.
  19. Should be just as good as the others - most are likely the same anyway. Just search each of the sites. With Columbia once you click on a color the have either 2 oz,, 1/2 lb., or 1 lb. Rosys used to have a jig painters pack but I haven't seen it in a while.
  20. X2 with Mark - those old vise's still hold a hook well - enjoy it!!!!
  21. Post a pic of your spinner I'd like to see the size of the clevis in relation to the rest of your spinner. Just from your description it sounds like your using too small of a clevis which would allow the blade tip to hang up causing it to plane (your phrase boating) Last I knew Mepps ordered the clevis's from Worth, and look just like the ones I have.
  22. Talked to a few guys that have tried them out and they really like them. The problem of eyelet to bend length isn't a problem with them and they report the hooks are very sharp. Barb is a bit bigger - one comment was that even though they're a few dollars more than the Matzuo's they're worth for not having any problems. Waiting to free up some cash so i can order some.
